We were stratified with Yankiel for how hard he worked to try and get out repair converted by our Gold Star CPO plan. Wye were told our strut issue wasn’t covered because Ford calls them shocks and shocks try and get out repair converted by our Gold Star CPO plan. When I took the part number and cross referenced it at NAPA and O’Reilly’s the shocks are called and labeled struts. It’s convenient for Ford to simply call struts shocks to void the warranty. We will follow up with Ford Manufacturing as well as the Department of Transportation to ascertain why teo auto parts companies call shocks struts and Ford calls the same part shocks. More
Never received follow-ups, the initial time frame was not acceptable. I was not offer a loaner or rental reimbursement. Technicians don't do enough due diligence on troubleshooting problems. I came there for a sudden problem with vibration I felt at slower speeds for a truck that is 18 months old and was told it troubleshooting problems. I came there for a sudden problem with vibration I felt at slower speeds for a truck that is 18 months old and was told it was a "normal" operation for the hybrid powertrain. Previously, it drove as smooth as butter. All of a sudden, there's a wobbling vibration but I was told it was a function of how the truck was designed. That made no sense. It's designed to feel like it's malfunctioning all of a sudden? They sent me on my way, and I went to another local dealer who found the problem was due to a warped radial in the front tire. I'm surprised the tires weren't looked at previously. If a wobbling vibration problem (which the techs at Wayne Akers acknowledged they felt when they test drove it) is communicated as "all normal for the truck", I can't trust they will work to root cause any future problems. Sending someone away with a warped tire could have proved dangerous. More
Service was slow to nonexistent on a recall. I’m still waiting and have been unable to speak to anyone. I also paid $650 for a repair that two weeks later was the subject of a recall.
