Warren Midtown Motors responded

"I am sorry that you aren't happy with your recall on your Ford Edge. Ford announced the recall in October of 2014 on 205,000 Edges. Ford sent recall letters to customers in all 21 of the "salt" states to come in to have the tank inspected for corrosion/leaks. However, most of them didn't exhibit safety issues. Of the ones that did Ford gave out rental cars till a new supplier could be secured. (Nearly a year) Ford stood behind the defective brackets, however it took time to get a new manufacturer and produce that many. We nor Ford motor company take your safety lightly. This is why the letter that you received from Ford requested you to set an appointment if your check engine light came on or you smelled gas fumes. Ford nor any other automobile manufacturer wants the customer to have recalls. Ford handled it as quickly as possible. Skip/Midtown doesn't deserve the scores you gave us. Customer service- you dropped the keys to Skip and stated "It better be done by noon" We are lucky we didn't run into rusty bolts because some took longer than you time demanded. Quality of work- we fixed it right the first time once the parts became available Friendliness- I honestly don't know Pricing- It was a no charge recall Overall experience- Im not sure how we could handle it differently. I thanked Skip for being respectful and not getting upset. If you are able watch on Youtube- "every life has a story " by Chick Fil A. I require all my employees to watch this video to understand that they never know what people are going through. Life is short. I do care about you and so does Ford Motor Company.
