Original handoff from internet pricing to sales department was awkward. Thanks to perseverance of Michael Alonso, I showed up to meet with sales manager who handed me off to sales associate Shaun department was awkward. Thanks to perseverance of Michael Alonso, I showed up to meet with sales manager who handed me off to sales associate Shaun Howerton. Mr. Howerton was very pleasant and agreeable person, listening very well. He took me for another test drive in a 2013 black M37 sedan. He answered my questions very well, and found out the correct answers when necessary. He did not guess or promise anything he could not deliver. Final negotiations with sales manager were adequate, with usual last minute addition of an "advertising charge," an imaginary and unnecessary charge in addition to the price quoted on line at Consumer Reports. Pure b.s. charge. After the deal was done, check written and papers signed, Mr. Howerton went over the many features and controls on the car. It does everything but blend smoothies in the back seat. He helped me clean out my old car, and transfer other things into my new Infiniti. I was on my way, from arrival to departure with a new car in about 3 1/2 hours. The biggest wait was for the paperwork to clear and be signed. The customer service rating reflects the problems in connecting between the internet pricing and the sales department. The "OK" rating for quality of work reflects that less than 48 hours later I discovered the car was delivered to me as "road worthy" with tire pressures around 47-50 psi. First I saw these while moving and using navigation screen controls. Then I waited 12 hours and tested the tires cold. Both times all four were in this range. The service department clearly did not go over their checklist and make an effort to make a quality car prep. The delivered tire pressure was at least 45% greater than factory recommendation. With this elementary delivery error, how am I to trust this service department in the future? While the car looked perfect in appearance, it was anything but in road worthiness. The upgrading of customer service from a probable 2 or 3 (after a strange phone call from a salesman I never heard of) to a 4 is because of Mr. Howerton and Mr. Alonso to save the deal, and the friendliness rating of 5 reflects both of their attempts at customer satisfaction. The overall rating is because of the car's condition on delivery, discovered after a couple of days out the door. I have serious reservations if I should put my new car in the hands of this service department instead of local car maintenance vendors I have dealt with in the past. Although the initial dealer maintenance is free and included in the price, I want a vehicle which is safety checked and not compromising my personal well being. More
