So after my situation with Keith, I contacted the General Sales Manager at Wantagh Mazda (Vin). 2005 Mazda 6 was diagnosed with a bad catalytic converter. I was advised to bring it to a dealer since this would be covered under Federal Law. The dealership, particularly Jim and Keith were bot converter. I was advised to bring it to a dealer since this would be covered under Federal Law. The dealership, particularly Jim and Keith were both rude and nasty. They wanted to charge for a diagnosis. When I tried to tell them that the Federal clearly states that no charges should be incurred for replacing this part as per the law they clearly let me know that they were not interested in the law, nor were they interested in doing what the dealership was required to do. I left there with a very uneasy feeling about this dealership and would NOT recommend them to anyone who is interested in buying a Mazda. They clearly are only interested in making money and not standing behind their product. Customer service in non-existent at this dealership. More
Shop around you can find a better price, these guys dont want to go down on their commission. Left a deposit for a Mazda 3 then asked for it back when I found it cheaper at another dealer. Wantagh Mazda sold us a car over a year ago with an automatic-start. It worked for 2 months and then stopped. We have had it in their service numerous times to be fixed. Each time it was fixed for a automatic-start. It worked for 2 months and then stopped. We have had it in their service numerous times to be fixed. Each time it was fixed for a short period of time and then stopped working. We have asked for a refund which they would not do. Each time the sales person said it was the service manager's call to refund, the service manager kicked the responsibility back to the sales manager, the sales manager claimed not to take responsibility. It was like dealing with Moe, Larry & Curly. Finally, after 14 months the sales person agreed to refund our money and for them to take it out. He scheduled an appointment with us and told us that the check would be waiting once we gave the car in. On that day, the check was not prepared and the sales manager claimed that he did not have authority to process a check. We are still waiting to hear from them. Do yourself a favor and steer clear [no pun intended] of Wantagh Mazda and the Three Stooges. More
