I HAD LEASED A MAZDA BACK IN 2008 AND ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT & THOUGHT THE ASSOCIATES AT WANTAGH MAZDA WERE VERY PERSONABLE. MY LEASE WAS UP IN FEBRUARY 2011 AND AT THAT TIME MY CREDIT WAS A BIT LOW TO LEAS & THOUGHT THE ASSOCIATES AT WANTAGH MAZDA WERE VERY PERSONABLE. MY LEASE WAS UP IN FEBRUARY 2011 AND AT THAT TIME MY CREDIT WAS A BIT LOW TO LEASE ANOTHER. I LOOKED INTO OTHER COMPANIES, BUT NOTHING ELSE GRABBED ME LIKE THE MAZDA. ALTHOUGH, THE ASSOCIATES AT THE OTHER DEALERSHIPS WERE NICE I DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE UP WORKING W/WANTAGH MAZDA AND THE PEOPLE THERE. I WAS W/O A CAR FOR SEVERAL MONTHS WHILE DANNY STEGNER, THE BUSINESS MANAGER WAS WORKING ON TRYING HIS BEST TO GET ME INTO THE CAR I WANTED WHILE I WAS GETTING MY CREDIT IN ORDER. AND, AFTER THE WAIT(WHICH IN THE END WAS WORTH IT)DANNY & WANTAGH MAZDA CAME THROUGH. I AM PLEASED W/ THE EFFORTS PUT FORTH ON MY BEHALF BY DANNY & I AM NOW THE PROUD LESSEE OF A 2011 MAZDA 3 iTOURING. P.S. MY MOM, WHO IS ALSO LEASING A MAZDA IS AS THRILLED AS I AM BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO SHARE HER CAR ANY LONGER. More

I recently purchased a new Mazda5 from Wantagh Mazda. I live in Brooklyn and didn't own a car prior to my purchase so had to do a lot of ground work on the phone. After numerous conversations with Mazda dealers in the area, all replete with the usual car sales tactics that leave you wary, I contacted Phil. I found his demeanor to be straight forward and trustworthy. He provided a sales quote over the phone - something other dealers are reluctant to discuss - and he assured me that the sales quote wouldn't include hidden fees and that the quote wouldn't change once I showed up in person. I decided to make the trip out to Wantagh, and while I was still expecting the usual car sales tactics once I arrived, I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience. After a test drive, we discussed the quote he had given me and everything was as he had said on the phone. We agreed on a price, which I knew to be competitive after extensive sales research, and he committed to having the exact car I requested, complete with a few added features a few days later The car was delivered on time and exactly as I had requested with absolutely no hiccups. Danny, who handles financing, even managed to get me an interest rate lower than what I had negotiated with my bank. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but everything went as well as I could have hoped. In summary, despite my initial worries about the whole car buying experience, I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Wantagh Mazda and would recommend them without reservation to anyone, particularly anyone in the NYC area who is also wary of the sleazy tactics typical of local dealers. The dealership's customer service is truly superb. More
We purchased a new car from Mazda, Philip was very informative and gave us the best deal around. He was very professional and spent as much time as we needed to make a decision and after we purchased informative and gave us the best deal around. The atmosphere in the dealership was very relaxed and friendly, it is a family run business. Philip said we can call him anytime in the future should we ever need to. I have already serviced the vehicle and found the service to be prompt and reasonable. So when I decided to lease another vehicle, I naturally returned to Wantagh Mazda and Mr. Puleo. More
This is my second car I got from Wantagh Mazda both times with David Chiari. My lease on my Sonta was coming to the end and I was trying to get a Maxima to replace it. Bayside Nissan and Garden City Nissan m with David Chiari. My lease on my Sonta was coming to the end and I was trying to get a Maxima to replace it. Bayside Nissan and Garden City Nissan made my experience so horrible that I decided against a Nissan and went back to Mazda (Mazda 3 was my first car). Both times he made mine and my father's time there enjoyable. We feel like he's a honest and straight to the point kind of person. He proves that there is no reason for being an unprofessional, rude and dishonest dealer like Bayside and Garden City Nissan. More
My experience at Wantaugh Mazda was fantastic. I originally went to Garden City Mazda, but they gave me the typical automobile salesman treatment and tried to force me to buy that day. At Wantaugh Mazda, the staff was very friendly and I felt no pressure whatsoever. I worked mostly with Victor (the salesman), who was very kind and did everything he could to help me get the price I wanted and to make the whole process run smoothly. Victor and I also had a good conversation about our family, travel experiences, etc. It was refreshing to work with a salesman who took an interest in his clients beyond just the information necessary to make a sale. I would strongly recommend asking for Victor if you go to Wantaugh Mazda. Joe and Danny were also both helpful in working things out with the banks/credit unions. My only word of caution is that if you get one of the monthly "special deals," make sure your credit is extremely good! It was difficult for me to get approved because of my less than stellar credit, but Joe and Danny were both helpful in working with the banks to try and make things work out. More
