I brought my 2010 toyota tacoma in for an oil change. I was advised that the frame was badly rusted and it was no longer safe to drive. I was however told they could complete the oil change. I then started talking with salesman Kevin Danh about purchasing a new vehicle. During the conversation a sales manager came over and offered me $8500 for my vehicle as a trade in. I accepted the offer. Later he came back and said he would only offer $5000. I did not misrepresent the condition Once an offer is made and accepted it should be honored but not this time. Later the sales manager brought my 2010 tacoma back from the service area. After I got it home I noticed it was running rough. I looked under the hood and saw that there was oil splattered all over the engine and an empty oil container lodged under the oil filter, there was also a tool still connected to the oil filter. I was able to drive it back to Walsers the next day and pick up a new 2025 Tacoma for which I paid $53,500. It was not financed as I paid with a check. I received no discount for paying cash. I believe the sales manager ( I don't recall his name) should have honored the $8500 for my trade since that is the offer he had made. I am also extremely disappointed with the condition that my 2010 tacoma was delivered to me. I am a 15yr loyal customer of Walsers and expected better treatment. I am also disappointed that Toyota had no recall for the frame rusting out. It was known by Toyota that Tacomas were notorious for having frame rust problems. More
