They are known to be pretty bulletproof, however after reading forums we decided to schedule a proactive repair on the prep tow package. we knew it was not covered under warranty and clearly stated we wanted to pay for the repair. We got a quote and scheduled an appointment. At the time the car was supposed to be done and ready for pick up (10 pm) we get a call giving us a new quote and saying the repair was not only NOT done but not even started. Apparently there is a complete lack of respect of time. I tried to explain our frustration that we received a quote, made an appointment then when the car should be ready to pick up we are getting a higher quote, but his (John) reply was that maybe he should talk to my husband! Honestly, after not being to Walser in Bloomington for quite a few years we are surprised to see the turnover. There is not ONE older salesperson or service person. The staff is all very young and don't seem to know what's going on. Everyone you talk to gives you a different answer. More

I went in for an oil change and was told of the fantastic deals they had going on for their 2014 cars. The salesman I spoke too was very informative and very friendly. (Spike Spicher) The finance staff was very helpful and it was all low key, no pressure. Every time I took my older car into the service department I also received very friendly and professional service. The service people are very clear in their explanations of what they have done. I always feel I have good value for the money I spend. I highly recommend this dealership. More
We came looking for a reasonably prices and comfortable car for my wife who has MS. She has trouble with the comfort of most of the newer cars. We worked with Spike who helped use test drive several models car for my wife who has MS. She has trouble with the comfort of most of the newer cars. We worked with Spike who helped use test drive several models. We ended up with a Prius C that has leather seats and fits her leg length well for comfort. Walser Toyota is a fantastic place to buy a car! I have bought all four of my cars not only from this dealership but also from the same car salesman (Spike Spicher) he went to bat for me and got me the car bought all four of my cars not only from this dealership but also from the same car salesman (Spike Spicher) he went to bat for me and got me the car of my dreams, and shared his pepper jack cheese sticks and diet coke with me too. spike is a groovy guy that wont beat around the bush. tell him what you want in a car and he will do everything in his power to make it happen! I like this dealership because you don't have to monkey around with negotiations, you just get the lowest price to start with. they also continue to amaze me with how much they give me for trade in values on my car. I plan on continuing to buy all my cars from spike! stop what you are doing and go buy a car from him right now!!! More
I would not recommend Walser Toyota Bloomington to anyone. They sold me a used 2008 Toyota Sienna that literally needed its engine replaced, even though they showed me a totally clean bill of health anyone. They sold me a used 2008 Toyota Sienna that literally needed its engine replaced, even though they showed me a totally clean bill of health on the vehicle at the time of sale. I took the car to a third-party mechanic right after buying to do a bumper to bumper inspection (my due diligence on the car), and the mechanic reported a major mechanical problem. I took it back to Walser Toyota Bloomington and the car salesman insinuated that the mechanic was just trying to make money off of me. After Walser inspected the car, they realized the engine needed to be replaced and quoted me $5,000 in repairs. I told them I wanted to return the car for a full refund. It gets worse. Even though I brought the car back the same day, they still cashed my check (I paid cash for the car) and then told me I couldn't get a refund for 7-10 business days. No check came after 10 business days. I made over a half dozen calls to get my money back. One guy even promised me that he'd have a check ready for me if I stopped in the store on the 13th business day, but there was no check when I arrived. I finally got my money back 3 weeks after they cashed my check. Walser Toyota Bloomington is a disaster. The next week I went down the road to Bloomington Acura Subaru and had a great experience. Unlike Walser, the Bloomington Acura Subaru staff were experienced and not pushy for price, warranties, etc. And, they sold me a good car--one that a third-party mechanic verified. More
