I purchased a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit from Walser Subaru in South Saint Paul in May 2020 and it is now at Walser's Bloomington location getting a new water pump. During the inspection, the technici Subaru in South Saint Paul in May 2020 and it is now at Walser's Bloomington location getting a new water pump. During the inspection, the technician advised that my rear brake pads needed to be replaced. This came as a shock to me since I’ve only put 3,000 miles on the vehicle since I purchased it. I spoke with Harry, Walser's sales manager on duty, and he explained that there are other variables involved that could result in this abnormal wear on the brake pads – which I understand. However, I find it extremely hard to believe that a set of brake pads, that are found to be in good working order upon purchase, would go from acceptable to needing to be replaced after only 3,000 miles. I called my family mechanic and he agreed. He has never in his 20+ years of being in business seen brake pads going from 5 millimeters to needing to be replaced after only 3,000 miles. Due to this negative experience with Walser, I will never be purchasing another vehicle from them again. I also found it humorous that, on the back of their business card, written as one of their “CORE VALUES”, it states “Do the right thing. Nothing is worth compromising a relationship”. I think Harry might want to revise his business card. -Extremely unsatisfied customer More

I live in Roseville, so it is further to drive than Walzer's in White Bear. I had made an appointment for a 30,000 mile service at Morrie's. I had been quoted $252.00 for performing all the recommended items listed by Subaru for a 30,000 mile tune up. I had some time issues that came up and so I thought I would try having the work done at Walzer's White Bear Subaru. I spoke with a very professional woman and made an appointment for Monday at 11:00 AM. I told her I had an appointment at Walzer where they had quoted me a rate of $252.00. She said that White Bear would match that price. When I arrived I spoke with the intake guy giving him my name, the appointment time and that I had discussed with the appointment person that I would be paying $252 which was quoted at Morrie's. He did not believe me. After being told it would cost $369, I called Morrie's, and with my phone on speaker, let him hear what they quoted for a 30,000 mile tune up. He grabbed my phone and started asking the Morrie's person if they covered certain items. He claimed that Morrie's said they wouldn't change the cabin air filter or the transmission fluid. He finally gave me a price of $285.15. I'm a busy guy and since I was already there I cut my losses and let them do the work. Walzer didn't do some of the items quoted by Morrie's as part of a standard 30,000 mile check-up. They charged me more than what I was quoted by Morrie's for less items replaced. At the very end, they did not wash or vacuum my car. When I asked the worker bringing me my car, he said he could give me a rain check and come back some other day and they would do it. While waiting for my car I saw them cleaning other cars right in front of me. I was very polite and non confrontational at all times. I was treated rudely and saw that Walzer Subaru does shoddy work and treats customers poorly. I would strongly encourage people to stay away from the service area or they will be significantly overcharged. More
Great...if you want a condescending and rude experience Never has we've been talked to in such a condescending and rude manner from any automotive service center before, much less any customer service cente Never has we've been talked to in such a condescending and rude manner from any automotive service center before, much less any customer service center. While I would like to think this was a one-time occurrence, it has happened multiple times when we call to discuss repair issues including spark plugs, brake & rotors, timing belt/water pump, etc. Unfortunately, the poor customer service experience were fairly consistent each time we've made contact with Walser Subaru. If you're a woman, the experience is even worse. Talk about a chauvinistic experience. Every time my wife attempted to make contact, it always resulted in a day of fuming anger for her due to the way they talked to her. It's almost as if they have no interest in attracting any business. With that kind of customer service, would anyone want to trust their vehicle in their hands? All of this is extremely unfortunate as we literally live down the road and the sales people at Walser has always been EXCELLENT...but the service center is HORRENDOUS. As such, we often drive a bit further to go to other Subaru service centers who has historically treated us better, cheaper, and provided quality workmanship. More
brought in brand new car and left with a loaner I brought my brand new Forester in to have a Subaru remote starter installed. after waiting 2 hours for this simple job I was told my car had electric I brought my brand new Forester in to have a Subaru remote starter installed. after waiting 2 hours for this simple job I was told my car had electrical problems but I could bring it back on Monday to be fixed. I asked what did they mean it was a brand new car. the person helping me did not know exactly what was wrong. I refused to take a car that had electrical problems and was given a loaner car. I was asked not to smoke in the car. since I don't smoke that is not a problem. when I got in the loaner car it stunk like cigarette smoke and had pine needles all over the floor, a coat of dust on the dash. no one called me on Monday, on Tuesday my husband called and was told they had to special order a part and it would not be in until Friday. on Friday I received a call my car was ready. when I asked what was wrong in the first place I was told " your problem was you blew the fuse box. ". when I state that the mechanics had done this the person on the phone cont to say it was my problem. at this point my husband arrived at the dealership. they gave me a measly $60 off the installation. I am not sure I can trust my brand new car to keep working. I would never ever recommend these mechanics to work on a toy car let alone a real one. VERY POOR SERVICE More

Never coming back again! I brought my Forester in because the door switch wasn't working. My ignition light didnt come on and the "keys left in ignition chime" didn't activate I brought my Forester in because the door switch wasn't working. My ignition light didnt come on and the "keys left in ignition chime" didn't activate. My courtesy lights didn't come on, when I opened the door, either. It took them 1.5 hrs to diagnose the problem for $99 plus tax. The door switch was missing! Then they proceeded to tell me that my 2011 Forester didn't have an ignition light (it does and I told them so, but they insisted that it didnt). They said that the "keys are left in the ignition" chime only activates when the ignition is on. Ridiculous! I have proof of their ignorance. They even wrote it down on my work order. They treated me like I knew nothing, when in reality, I seemed to know more than they did about my car. Then they tried to talk me out of ordering a new door switch, saying that I could use the key fob to get the courtesy lights to come on. Since I insisted on ordering a new door switch, they told me that it would cost $233 plus tax and shipping to install it. I called another Subaru dealer (Luthers) and the price was $99 installed. Why such a big difference? Well I ended up buying the part, for a few bucks, at an auto parts dealer and it took all of 1 minute to install. Everything works great, now. I have bought new Subaru's from Morries and I thought that I'd try this dealer, because they were closer to me. My daughter bought a new Outback from Luther's Subaru. My other daughter is planning to buy a new Subaru next year. I guess that we know where we AREN'T going for our next new Subaru. WALSERS. Wish that I could have given them NO stars. More
My review isn't for a specific visit, but more for several visits over a 2 year period. Walser Subaru has always been able to get me in and out quickly for maintenance. The facility is very clean an several visits over a 2 year period. Walser Subaru has always been able to get me in and out quickly for maintenance. The facility is very clean and the service staff are solid. I initially started doing my maintenance there as they were significantly (20-30%) LESS than my previous servicing dealer (Bloomington Subaru). Will definitely keep using them for service in the future, and give them first shot when I buy a new Outback. PS-As a sidenote, this is my third Subaru, with around 200,000 cumulative miles. Have never done anything more than scheduled maintenance and wear and tear over the years. More
We visited many Subaru dealerships when I totaled my 2006 Outback which was originally purchased at the Bloomington, MN dealership. They were nice and close to my husbands work location but when we visited Outback which was originally purchased at the Bloomington, MN dealership. They were nice and close to my husbands work location but when we visited the Burnsville, MN dealership I felt as though we were truly important to them and they were focused on us and just Subaru's where the Bloomington, MN dealership was broken into USED, NEW, Acura's, Subaru's; in other words too much going on. Burnsville has that "it" factor that draws you in and keeps you forever!! Don't know all the staff but whenever I arrive for my oil changes etc. it is great to staff familiar staff still employed. Great vehicles; when in my accident the car did all that it is supposed to so my son and I walked away after being T-boned by a semi-truck. Great commercials, love the entire philosophy of your organization and your cars. Thanks. More
