Quoted $200 on the phone for a transmission fluid change, but when I got to the dealership they said it was $300+. I was always fine paying a premium for dealership service (dealership service centers seemed more honest), but this visit was the final nail in the coffin: I’m DIYing and using independent shops in the future. On the plus side, the service manager was really professional and knocked 10% off the price when I reacted with shock and mentioned that I was quoted $200 on the phone. More
