This dealership would not take a personal check from Fargo ND. I bought a $13,000 car for my wife. They made me get $13000 from Bremer. I showed them that I had $25000 in my checking account. I am a retired CEO of a trucking business in Fargo. But they told me if I financed the car they would take my check for the down payment. xxx? They also added on an Out of State fee of $299. This was in addition to the Document fees of $399. They did nothing to earn this fee. This practice should be illegal.They also refused to give me the title after getting the $13,100. They told me funds had to clear. What moron doesn't know that cash is funds collected? They also added a pulse system to the car which I didn't want. They did remove this charge. In a transaction that should have taken 30 minutes it took over four hours. I contacted the corporate office to explain the fact that no one in this dealership treated a cash paying customer with any respect. In addition I cannot understand how it is legal to charge an out of state fee for no services rendered. This is really absurd considering they are 12 miles from Wisconsin. I did get a call from corporate but they said they would contact the GM and Finance Manager. I asked for the out of state fee charge returned. I have not received any response after the initial call. This is not a reputable dealership. How on earth can you charge fees for not doing anything. My wife loved the car it was as advertised but this dealership does not deserve customers who are from ND or WI. A terrible scam for additional fees not earned. And please explain why a Fargo ND personal check would not be accepted for the full purchase price but would be for a down payment. No one at this dealership has the mental capacity to think outside the box. I showed them my checking balance and the name of my personal banker. I will commend the phone operator at their corporate office who quickly got some operations VP to call me. I did message Andrew Walzer without response. Not committed to excellence is the only way to describe this dealership. I kept getting hurdles thrown in front of me. I walked out of the dealership a couple of times. Both times I called my wife and heard the disappointment in her voice. My wife spent 30 hours combing through the carfax and loved the car. I bought it to satisfy her. More
