Screwed over? Lied to? Buy a car here. After owning my Saab for thirteen years I decided to treat myself to a new VW Golf GTI. Admittedly buying a Saab is a completely different experience but at Fuccillo you are guaranteed to feel like you are buying a Yugo. The shabby showroom with its loud music, tippy cocktail tables and fake flowers should have been a hint that I was in for an experience that was less than stellar. I was pretty specific about what I wanted and the car needed to be obtained from a different dealership; Fuccillo seemed willing to do that if I would commit to buying a car. The only reason I didn't use one of the other area dealerships is because they weren't very excited about locating the car for me. Several days later I got a call that the car had been procured so I made arrangements to close the deal. When I arrived none of the paperwork was ready and no insurance binder had been obtained in spite of giving them my agent information; every prior car transaction I have ever had has had all paperwork ready to go when I arrived. It took them forty five minutes to get their act together and if I was smart I would have come back the next day. The car was driven 140 miles from its original dealership and the $75 dealer prep fee they charged me was ridiculous. The car still had road grime on it and when I got it home I noticed many, many plastic bits of protective sheeting were left on the car; it is white and unnoticeable upon casual inspection. There was not a full tank of gas and none of the shipping foam had been removed from the rear seat belts and the trunk. When I complained about this they refused to refund my $75 even when I complained to VW America. I have had the car six weeks and am still trying to get them to refund the $599.00 tire contract I canceled. My insurance guy is still waiting for paperwork from them. When the deal was finally done I had to navigate my brand new car through a parking lot with gigantic potholes which were tough to avoid. I will never purchase a vehicle from them again and am disappointed with Volkswagen for allowing Fuccillo to sell their product. I plan to let everyone know what a horrible experience it is to buy from them and I know a lot of people. Run the other way! More
