Just AWFUL in every aspect possible! On August 3rd, I filled out an application for finance, and received a call back the next day from Gene Baron. He explained that my application was received and that finance has already sent it out to lenders. I drive there and met Gene, where we discussed the vehicle I was interested in and began the paperwork process. I explained upfront that my credit wasn't the greatest and told the sales person to just be honest with me, as i didn't want to waste my time or theirs. I asked "What are my chances of getting this car?" and his reply was "I don't think you'll have a problem." I then put down a deposit in good faith to show the lenders I'm making an effort, and was told that I would have an answer by the end of that business day. I called two times that evening to get an update. On the first call, I explained that I was awaiting to hear back about a potential approval and was directed to leave Gene a voicemail so I did. The next day by noon, I still did not receive a call back, so I phoned the dealership AGAIN and was directed to Mary in finance and left her a message. At this point, I'm getting upset and frustrated and beginning to think I'm not getting an approval and since they can't get my business, they will just avoid my queries. I FINALLY got a callback from Mary, where she explained that the lenders wanted (what I personally felt was) a ridiculously high down payment and co-signer, which I told Gene upfront I didn't have and was assured could be worked around. After what I felt was the typical dealership to customer runaround given to me, I decided to cut my losses and get my deposit back. The last kick the xxx to me from Wallingford Buick GMC was that my deposit refund had to be issued in the form of a check, which I find odd since I had given them cold hard cash just 24 hours earlier. When I go to pick up my check, I had to wait what seemed like an eternity while the salesmen there were flirting and oogling over two young ladies in the showroom. Maybe if I was female, tan and anorexic with breasts, I probably would've been treated better as a customer. More

The vehicles on the lot will either be too low spec'd or too high. I decided to have them run numbers on a vehicle which was spec'd too high, and obviously the payments came out to be much higher than I wanted. I was ready to sign that day, even giving them my card for partial down-payment. The salesperson wasn't interested in showing me around the lot, or letting me check out the different configurations. 'Lets sit down and talk about it before I go opening up a thousand cars' he told me. Okay, well how am I supposed to know what that package is without looking at it? After asking if a specific number I had in mind would work and we could have a deal, I asked if I could look at the truck (which I hadn't even sat in), his response was 'Really?'. Yes... REALLY! I would like to sit in the car I'm about to buy BEFORE BUYING IT! Perhaps most customers don't really care what they get, but I do! I received a follow up call from another associate, and was told 'we can definitely get you into a car on the lot'. I explained to her that I had a specific configuration for the truck, and that they did not have any on their lot that met this spec. As I was trying to offer business to them, and ask her to help get a vehicle from another dealership out of state - she basically hung up on me and said 'thanks anyway'. This dealership doesn't actually care about getting you into the car you want, they just want to get you into a car they have. Will be moving my business to another dealership. More

Would have given 5 stars but... I purchased a 2013 Buick Verano from this dealership. While my overall experience was a very good one, Gene really worked with me an found me the car I purchased a 2013 Buick Verano from this dealership. While my overall experience was a very good one, Gene really worked with me an found me the car I wanted and the price I wanted to pay, I was a little upset that when I went to pick up the car. The car only had a half a tank of gas, which wasn't that big a deal to me. Then after getting it home I noticed there were no car mats in the car, only the dealer piece of paper to keep the rug clean. I called and asked for mats and told that I could come into pick them up. Went in on a rainy weekday night and was told they didn't have any in the color I needed. Was told I would be given a call when mats in the right color came. That didn't happen, just early this month I happen to be in the area and went to inquire about the mats and was finally given a new set of mats for the car. Lastly, when I purchased the car I was told that the car had heated seat. During the demonstration after the purchase, I did not question him about the seats, as there was a lot to take in. I did look over the manual as well and while I did read it, I never had an occasion to use the heated seat until just the other day. And to my surprise I did not have heated seats installed in this car even though I was told it did. Overall I did a good experience with this dealership/dealer and would recommend others looking for a car to take a look at this place. However, I wish that they could put a little more effort in making sure things are as they should be before they car is driven off of the lot. Making sure your client is fully satisfied is what brings back the repeat customer. More
Good Customer Service but I recently purchased a used '11 Grand Cherokee 5.7 L. Customer Service was real good, and I was even a return customer after my wife and I leased a GM I recently purchased a used '11 Grand Cherokee 5.7 L. Customer Service was real good, and I was even a return customer after my wife and I leased a GMC in August '14. My problem was that the service department did not fully inspect my Jeep, and it appears they assumed it was a V6, and I was running 2.5 quarts oil below factory level. I was pretty upset with this as maintainence for Jeep is crucial. The service department needs to pay much better attention to detail when servicing vehicles, especially vehicles other than GMC. More
So pleased, we bought two cars I had set out to merely look at GMC vehicles because I had never before. Wallingford GMC has horrible business practices. Let me start by saying that Wallingford Buick GMC is the worst dealership in CT. On a Friday morning I made the long trip to Wallingford and haggled with the salesman on the price of a new truck. We finally agreed and shook hands on the deal. I put down a deposit and signed the finance paperwork before leaving that day. We had agreed that I would come back the Saturday after Thanksgiving to pick up my new truck. All was good leaving that day and over the weekend. Monday afternoon I call my salesman and check on the progress, The salesman tells me that my truck was somehow sold and there are no more trucks within the 500 mi searching area. Wallingford not only took my money and shook hands on a fake truck, but they did nothing whatsoever to make up for the mistake. I have never been treated so poorly after getting such a hard screwing in my life. I finally asked them to just refund me my money. As of the date of this post, I still have not received my money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING TO WALLINGFORD GMC. More
