Terrible Experience I bought a certified preowned GMC Terrain. Everything went downhill right I signed the deal. Told to pickup the car at 10am the following day. I showe I bought a certified preowned GMC Terrain. Everything went downhill right I signed the deal. Told to pickup the car at 10am the following day. I showed up and sat there for 1-2 hours. When I got the car home I realized the passenger tires had dry rot. I called and spoke th the service manager. He checked the certification report and told me that service recommended changing the tires, but sales had final call. He told me to talk to his service writer and they would take care of tires and align. When I spoke to the service writer, I asked if they could change just two tires on a AWD car. He did not give me a clear answer. When the car was ready, the service writer told me they changed four tires. I asked if they were new, he told me no, but they were better? I asked if they did a alignment, he said no. When I got home I looked at the tires and realized they put on a different size tire, and changed the 17” rims I bought the car with to 18”. At this point I went ballistic. After back and forth conversations with people, one of the sales managers agreed to put four new tires on the car back on the original rims I bought the car with and a alignment. More

No catalytic converter While my original experience with Wallingford GMC was pleasant, I soon found out that they sold me a car without a catalytic converter. Likely illegal While my original experience with Wallingford GMC was pleasant, I soon found out that they sold me a car without a catalytic converter. Likely illegal to sell and definitely illegal to drive, its an obvious part that only requires the car to be up on a lift to confirm if its their or not. For their mechanics to miss a part like that is ridiculous. After test driving the car for the first time I specifically asked if the catalytic converter was on the car and was assured it was. Management did offer to pay for a new exhaust to fix the problem but it was a problem that should have never occurred. $500 out of my pocket later, the car is now legal to drive and will pass CT emissions but there was, and is no way I'll let their mechanics touch my car in the future. More
