I am writing this review to share a deeply frustrating experience with Waco Hyundai’s used car sales department. While the initial interactions appeared promising, the final outcome revealed a severe lack experience with Waco Hyundai’s used car sales department. While the initial interactions appeared promising, the final outcome revealed a severe lack of internal coordination, basic inventory tracking, and respect for a serious buyer’s time. My process with this dealership spanned nearly a week, beginning on Friday, June 12th, when I scheduled an appointment. Over the course of this process, I interacted with three separate individuals who had the word "Manager" somewhere in their title. I was a proactive and communicative customer, especially due to the fact that I am located in Houston and would be going out of my way to travel to Waco to purchase the vehicle. Friday, June 12th: Scheduled appointment to drive vehicle with intent to purchase. Saturday, June 13th: Submitted financing applications and received an initial quote. Monday, June 15th: Received an updated quote. Tuesday, June 16th: Confirmed directly with management that they would accept draft payments. Wednesday, June 17th (5:20 PM): Re-confirmed my appointment for the following day and explicitly stated we would be arriving to purchase the vehicle. Thursday, June 18th: At 8:00 AM, I received an automated text confirming my appointment. Shortly thereafter (and after already getting myself and my two young children loaded in the car and en route), I was informed that the vehicle was not on the lot because it had been taken to the manufacturer for alleged warranty maintenance. They had no idea when the vehicle would be back. To make matters worse, I received a subsequent phone call from dealership staff asking if I was still coming in - demonstrating that their team was completely unaware the car was gone. A review of the CarFax history shortly after this call (by me) showed the vehicle had actually been serviced days prior, on Monday. Allowing a committed buyer to proceed through an entire week of financing, paperwork, and scheduling while coordinating with three different managers only to fail at basic inventory tracking and send a vehicle off-site for maintenance is thoroughly unacceptable. I spent days taking all the right steps to ensure a seamless transaction, only to be met with staggering disorganization and zero internal accountability. If you value clear communication, operational transparency, and basic professional courtesy, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. More
