W.I. Simonson should be avoided at all costs. I purchased a $150,000 vehicle from them back in February. I am located out of state, I called, they gave me a price, I paid. Simple. I arranged shipping, and I a $150,000 vehicle from them back in February. I am located out of state, I called, they gave me a price, I paid. Simple. I arranged shipping, and I had the vehicle shortly. That part was easy. The nightmare began when it was time to register the car. I was assured that the process to register the vehicle in my home state was initiated by the dealer back in February (76 days ago). A few weeks after this, I hear nothing from my local DMV. I call, they state no paperwork was ever received from W. I. Simonson. I call them, they state paper work was sent to the California DMV and sometimes the California DMV takes a while. Seems understandable. I give it a month. I hear nothing. I call the California DMV, they have no record of any paperwork being sent over by W.I. Simonson. I call the dealer, they state they will look into it and get back to me. A week goes by, I hear nothing. I call again, ask to speak to the title manager. Goes to VM, I try to reach them for 3 weeks without success. During this time I have been calling my bank multiple times, they also have not received a title from the dealership. Its been 76 days now. No registration, W.I. Simonson has failed to send over any paperwork to the DMV or bank. I have a car sitting in my garage that I can't drive legally. Now I have to get lawyers involved. An absolute nightmare. Stay away from this place. Oh, and to add to it, I bought the car "MB certified" and was reassured it was in "mint condition". When I shipped the car over, I noticed the back seat was torn. To be fair, they did offer to reimburse me up to $500 once I showed proof of repair, but because they failed to send over paperwork, I can't legally drive it to even have it repaired. Thanks. More
