I began a search for a Mercedes Benz Gelandewagen (G-Wagon) over a decade ago, but became more serious with my search effort about two years ago. I did not limit my search to nearby, local dealership inventory and configured my online search tools to look nationwide. I located and researched so many vehicles that I created a spreadsheet. Included in the spreadsheet were all installed manufacturer options, location and pricing for each vehicle that were located in different cities across the united states. During my search I located numerous vehicles, that appeared to be in good condition. Because of my nationwide search, it was not feasible to travel to each location in order to "kick the tires" and view each vehicle. In order to have a set of eyes and ears at the various locations for each vehicle, I scheduled a Pre-Purchase-Diagnostic at a shop located nearby each vehicle. One of the vehicles I located had all the manufacturer options I was looking for, plus a few more options I had not considered. The vehicle was located in California, so felt a bit lucky that it was at least, in the same state I live in, but at least a 5 hour drive away. That location was W.I. Simonson Mercedes-Benz of Santa Monica, California. I sent a message through a vehicle-search website to the dealership and received a response from Damian, Internet Sales Manager. Damian responded quickly and over the course of a month, corresponded with me by text, email and phone calls and finally on Halloween I purchased the G-Wagon I now own. So it turned out to be a "Treat" for me. Thanks Damian for allowing me to take the time to do the research and feel comfortable with my purchase decision! More

I am a repeat client having bought three cars from WI Simonsen. Having been a Palisades Survivor, I drove over 65 miles to buy a second 2023 Mercedes EQS 450 from the dealer. This one for me smells of we Simonsen. Having been a Palisades Survivor, I drove over 65 miles to buy a second 2023 Mercedes EQS 450 from the dealer. This one for me smells of weed smoke. They didn't effectively clean it nor did they disclose said flaw. I spent so much time trying to get out of my old car that it wasn't until the papers were signed and my plates were installed that I realized the problem. My salesman was out of the country at the time and when he got back, I asked for his help and his sole response was "you got a great deal on the car" Respectfully, my wife's car had less miles, better wheels and fresh tires. I reach out again to let them know the issue was still bothering me. They don't care and are unwilling to do anything about it. Now, I am talking to a lemon law lawyer. How sad because I love the car. I've spent $1,350 trying to mitigate the smell while dealing with my destroyed home and other issues. I am glad some private equity people get to fly on another, bigger jet but since they asked someone who is a publisher - I will give them the 1-star review that they've earned. I will buy my next car elsewhere. 3x wasn't enough for them, I guess. More
