My experience was just ok. I enquired about the vehicle status online and got an immediate reply. I was contacted by the salesperson and made arrangements to come to the dealership. I was told that the vehicle would be pulled out and ready to go for a test drive. I notified the salesperson of my eta but when I arrived the vehicle was not pulled out and ready to go in fact the salesperson wasn't really sure where the car was except for the sound of the chirp upon getting the keys which were still locked up and the car was blocked by other vehicles. The sales process was fairly standard, and I received good service once seated. I was told that the car was going to be cleaned and ready to go and that I would get the "Mercedes Experience". I joked that it was raining so not much could be done as far as the exterior was concerned. Once the deal was completed, I had to text my salesperson after waiting 20 minutes at his desk. I decided to leave and just come back later. When I returned, I met my salesperson at his desk, and he gave me the keys and told me my vehicle was outside. The vehicle was not cleaned at all on the inside. There was sticky stuff on the seats, dust on the horizontal portions of the car and hairs etc. Not what I was expecting given the 4+ hours they had to at minimum make sure the interior was cleaned. This vehicle is a graduation present for my daughter, and I will need to have the interior detailed before giving it to her. Mike in finance was great and was doing his job well. Dave was ok too but, in the end, I felt like my "Mercedes Experience" ended once I wrote the check. I was told during the transaction that this dealer sold nationwide, which is great but when I asked for assistance getting the vehicle delivered 10 miles away, I was told that they don't do that. Had I not driven out of state to purchase the vehicle I would have walked away from the purchase. Upon arrival at the scheduled time was asked to wait in lobby while they reviewed the checks I brought to p would have walked away from the purchase. Was not given the opportunity to test drive the vehicle or even look at it in person prior to being sent into a finance office. Was the told they could not honor the price of the sales contract they had sent me days prior. After reluctantly agreeing to pay the difference of $700 and reviewing the paperwork, the vehicles mileage was also listed at 250 miles more than what was listed in the sales contract. After finalizing the purchase I was walked across the street and provided one key to the vehicle. At no point did anyone inform me the vehicle did not have two keys. It is fairly standard for a new vehicle even if it is used to come with two keys (not specified in the listing), especially when making a purchase from a reputable dealer. I was not shown any features of the vehicle nor given any additional information when the representative walked away after handing me the key. The interior of the vehicle appeared as though someone had been driving it up until the point of purchase. There was residue all over the vehicle from having been used for personal use. If a purchase had been agreed-upon earlier in the week with a deposit having been provided, I don’t understand why the vehicle would be driven for an additional 250 miles and not detailed prior to purchase when a buyer was scheduled. I have also attempted to clarify where my title has been sent to in order to re-title and register in my home state and cannot get an answer. The entire experience has been frustrating and stressful. A car buying experience with a reputable dealer should be transparent, informative, and overall exciting. The dealer and their team did nothing to provide that experience. More
