I had an appointment on 02/06/2020, at 7:30am, for diagnostic testing. I arrived at 7:15am and was checked in by another employee since Grant, the one who made my appointment, had not arrived yet. I w diagnostic testing. I arrived at 7:15am and was checked in by another employee since Grant, the one who made my appointment, had not arrived yet. I was told it would take around 30 minutes to run the diagnostics on my vehicle. I waited for two hours, until I received a text from my warranty company letting me know repairs had been approved, but still no one from Volvo had spoken to me. After receiving the text, I went up and asked Grant what needed to be repaired and he told me to sit and wait and he would come talk to me soon. Finally he came and told what the issues were. After waiting for two and a half hours, and the extent of the repairs I decided to return the car from where I purchased it and to not have it repaired. Which the whole point of the appointment was for diagnostics not repairs. I told Grant this, and Grant became frustrated and rude and stated he had been on the phone for an hour trying to have the repairs approved, I reminded him I only came in to have the vehicle diagnosed; that if he would have came and spoken to me after the diagnostics were run I would have been able to tell him I did not want any repairs, and it would have saved him the phone call. He told me I could pay him $175 out of pocket to leave and then settle it with my warranty company. I told him the diagnostics were coved by the warranty company, to call them to get the billing information sent over. He then told me I would have to wait two more hours so he could finish with his other customers then he would call the warranty company so I could leave, because he did not feel like calling the company back. He was extremely rude during this conversation and was in no way trying to help me. Seven customers had been in and out from the time I arrived to the time I was spoken to and there was only one other customer in the building at this time. I asked him why other customers had priority over me, especially because my appointment was for 7:30am and was told it would take 30 minutes and it had been two hours, and if he could please call the company to get the payment because I had to leave due to work. Fifteen minutes went by and he was still just sitting at his desk. Finally a man, I am assuming a supervisor, stepped in and told him to call the company and give me my keys so I would be able to leave. Grant has a lack of customer service and communication skills. It may seem odd to write a review about a salesperson I ultimately didn’t by a car from. However Tommy left such an impression on me I wanted it to be known how great of an experience I had with him. I was in the market for a used Ford F-150 this last week and had test drove about 6 vehicles at 5 different dealerships. Unfortunately the vehicle Tommy had just didn’t check some of the boxes I was looking for compared to others. Despite this I felt guilty as I really wanted to give him my business. I have never worked with a salesperson who made me feel so at ease and comfortable through the process. He shot me straight was kind pleasant and worked to help me get the best deal possible at his dealership. Unfortunately car dealers tend to have a reputation that lends people to feel on guard when working through the sales process. Tommy through his knowledge, experience and warmth melted those reservations down and actually had me contemplating buying a car from him that didn’t check all the boxes I was looking for because I wanted to reward him for his exemplary service. Hopefully this review will at least him and other potential future customers know what a joy he is to work with. On a side note I did not deal personally with everyone at Jim Ellis Volvo but the ones I did were all very impressive as well. Furthermore the showroom was spotless clean and crisp. A stark contrast from some of the other locations I was looking at. More

While a 2020 V60 equipped with the packages and options I was seeking wasn't in their stock, they very quickly sourced exactly what I was looking for without the long wait of a special order.
