Richard Mac & Volvo Cars of Manhattan & the new 2016 XC90 We have had our 2011 Volvo XC90 serviced at Volvo Cars of Manhattan starting in 2014 and just last month (April 2016) bought a new 2016 XC90 through R We have had our 2011 Volvo XC90 serviced at Volvo Cars of Manhattan starting in 2014 and just last month (April 2016) bought a new 2016 XC90 through Richard Mac. Very favorable experience overall. Richard Mac and the entire sales and service team is extremely professional. Yes this is a business, and yes you have to negotiate to protect your interests, but overall they are very fair and very reasonable people to deal with. Only complaint would be that the time from our new Volvo custom order to delivery was much longer than promised. However I do not blame this on the dealer, it is the fault of Volvo corporate, and likely relates to the production ramp of the newly redesigned 2016 model. We have had the new 2016 XC90 for a month now and love it. It is however a very different experience than our old Volvo XC90 which we loved too. The newly redesigned 2016 XC90 is much more like being inside a BMW or Mercedes SUV. To some people that will come as good news, but to others who like Volvo for the less fussy and less showy experience of Volvo vs. BMW and Mercedes, it may not come as good news. The new 2016 XC90 is great car, but it is a luxury car and a departure from the more relaxed and casual ethos of XC90's and Volvo cars of the past. Overall we are very happy with our new Volvo XC90 and our experience working with Richard Mac and Volvo Cars of Manhattan and recommend them highly. More
