I received diligent price neg Let me start with my past experience. I have leased or purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership over the last 15 years. I received diligent price negotiations and premier service. In hind site, my husband was with me for all these purchases. But on Friday July 14 I pulled in to purchase by myself because I was returning from Raleigh and near the dealership. I was handed to a young inexperienced sales person who was a delight but knew very little about the cars. I was told company policy required I test drive the car before they could give me a price and the value of my trade-in. Which, by the way, was a car purchased from them and serviced by them in 2012. After mindless chit chat MM brought me an offer which was laughable with no negotiating room. I left. I drove on to Hickory and stopped at another dealership and bought a new car within an hour. A couple of days later someone called my husband, even though my name and number were on the paper work and my name was on the title of the vehicle, and asked if we had decided to trade. This is the 21st Century and women not only buy cars on their own we can write checks for them the same day. Volvo missed this one by gender bias. Sorry GUYS, 15 years of loyalty left Winston Salem. More

Bad customer service after the fact My experience was with the GM Rob and GSM Les. A family member(64yr old recently widowed single female with no children) felt there recently brand new My experience was with the GM Rob and GSM Les. A family member(64yr old recently widowed single female with no children) felt there recently brand new Volvo was having mechanical issues and asked for it to be throughly inspected before picking it up. She was provided a rental car (complimentary thru new car warranty ) and the inspection was included in her new car warranty. When service brushed off her concerns and told her to come pick up the vehicle she insisted the vehicle be checked again b/c she didn't want to be broken down on the side the road again. The service advisor refused and she told them she wasn't going to bring the rental car back until they assured her nothing was wrong. She received a call from the GM Rob and explained all she wanted was her car checked(simple). It's covered free of charge thru Volvo new car warranty. Seeing this conversation was not going anywhere and threats of coming to get the rental car and charging her a lot fee for her vehicle being there my family member had enough and said she would call him back but couldn't talk any more. He was causing her to have a panic attack. This is where the situation became out of control. A successful younger Caucasian male felt insulted and bitter that a elderly woman hung up on her. So he instructed his employees to send a wrecker to pick up the rental from her house and charge her a fee for her vehicle being on there lot. 1200-1600 if I remember correctly and until she paid it refused to give her her paid off vehicle. With no vehicle to drive and having health concerns(doctor visits) she was left with little options. She reached out to me because I worked in a similar field to try to mediate this blown out of proportion matter. I reached out to Les first and asked for a civil resolve. My conversations with Les were civil but I wasn't getting anywhere. After a day of trying I reached out to Les to tell him we would be up there the next day to collect the car and finalize the fees to move on. This conversation was taking place by text and I assume another text was taking place with him and the owner Rob. I was accidentally included in on there text and got to read to vulgar and disrespectful comments Rob was making about my family member and how this was nothing but a I'll show you to hang up on me kind of thing. Angerly I called Les and let him know I was accidentally included in this conversation. He was very apologetic and asked me to give him a day or two but he would take care of the fees but please don't take the matter further. When I followed up with him he told me they wouldn't be doing anything about the matter then I received communication from the owner Rob stating if I proceeded with the matter who would come after me professionally with my job. This whole situation comes across as grown men acting as little boys and just out for money. No care for the customer that pays there bills and make them wealthier than the average person buying and servicing vehicles with them. It's a bad image for the car industry. Be careful as you or someone you care about could be the next ones to experience a similar experience of customer service. More

A very personnel experience/Professional. My wife and I were on the hunt to purchase a 2013 C70 Volvo. We test drove a few in our local area however my wife found the one of her dreams at Volv My wife and I were on the hunt to purchase a 2013 C70 Volvo. We test drove a few in our local area however my wife found the one of her dreams at Volvo Cars of Winston Salem. We live several hours away from dealership however they delivered the car in top shape to our front door and made the purchasing of our vehicle seamless. There hasn't been a day that my wife hasn't put the top down and cursed the coastline. We love the vehicle and hope Volvo makes a new convertible in near future. From start to finish William was very personable and professional and plan on consulting him in any of our future purchases or question we may have. More
