Their Tuesday pickup didn’t occur until Wednesday. Their one day repair took a full two days. I asked to look at my radio phone connection and was told they don’t do that, but I could. I have been extremely disappointed with the service at White Plains Volvo. I guess I expected to receive the same level of excellent service that I experienced with Big Dee Volvo, but that was not to hap White Plains Volvo. I guess I expected to receive the same level of excellent service that I experienced with Big Dee Volvo, but that was not to happen. I have been to White Plains Volvo three times since May 27, 2020 for various repairs and service . May 27, 2020 I took my car in for a 45,000 mile service. The mileage on the car was 45,237 miles. A coolant exchange was done as well as a complete oil change and a multi point courtesy inspection. This included the Brake System. Brake measurements were not taken during this service. I had asked when I picked up my car if I needed brakes and I was told no. June 18, 2020 I returned to White Plains Volvo Service for a recall service. It was a recall for door latches. During this service I also reported that the coolant light was going on as well as Security System Check light. I brought the car in on a Thursday and the service was completed on the following Tuesday. I tried to reach the service department on Monday to see if the car would be ready on Tuesday as was planned but no one picked up and the mailboxes were full on both Monday and Tuesday. I took it upon myself to get my car and when I arrived the car was not quite ready. Had some one picked up the phone I would have not gone to get the car. After this service I was told I needed brakes. The mileage on the car was 45,372 miles. I find it very interesting that at the previous service the mileage was 45,237 miles and I was told I didn’t need brakes but 135 miles later I was told I needed new brakes. I question the thoroughness of the service technicians and their knowledge of what is needed at each service level. I was asked if I wanted to wait while they serviced the brakes but it was too late in the day so I made a future appointment. July 14, 2020 I brought my car into Volvo Cars White Plains in order to have my brakes serviced. I needed pads and rotors on front and rear brakes. The service advisor said the car would be ready the same day. I received a call at around 4 o’clock telling me my car would not be ready until the next day. At 9:00 the next morning I received a call that my car was ready. I went to pick up my car and as I am pulling out, the alarm system malfunction light went on. I had just had that problem addressed on June 18. I brought this problem to the attention of the service advisor and she told me she was going to ask a technician to look at it. She asked if I wanted to wait for the car. I asked her how long it would take and she said about an hour. I said I would wait. I was there for 3 1/2 hours. During that time the service advisor came over to me only once to advise me on the status of my car. In summary, I feel that that the service department at Volvo Cars White Plains is a very poorly organized operation. They are not easily accessible as demonstrated by the difficulty in reaching them by phone. No one answers the phone and when you get to the point where you can leave a message the mailboxes are full. If you do leave a message no one returns your call in a timely fashion. They do not deliver the car in the period of time promised. During multipoint inspection repairs that needed to be done were overlooked. Had I not brought my car in for a recall I would not have known I needed front and rear brakes, making this a safety issue for me and my family. Repairs are not taken care of the first time as evidenced by my need to have my security system check done twice. Loaner cars are not readily available. I doubt that this review will be responded to, however I know I am not alone in feeling that Volvo Cars White Plains service department delivers disappointing service. More
