For years my parents have leased volvos for my use, and the last xc60 held the most precious cargo, their first grandson. Now after many years of generosity, I have taken over my first lease, and of course it was the new XC60, which I love. The whole experience of turning in the old car and getting the new one was very smooth thanks to Gene. I highly recommend Big Dee and Gene to anyone who is looking for a safe yet fun car and no hassle service. More

In terms of the service department, it runs efficiently and the staff members have always been very courteous. I am confident that when the lease is up on our other Volvo, we will be coming back to Big Dee to lease another car. I had been a Big Dee Volvo customer for many years, but 6 years ago moved to another brand. I had always had good experience with the dealership. William Bosshart was so helpful assisting us with the purchase of our new Volvo. As new parents, safety was a huge concern and we knew Volvo was the way to go, but having Bill help us work out all of th purchase of our new Volvo. Not a friendly environment!!! When I walked into the service department I didn't even get acknowledged. When you enter a business you expect to be acknowledged. I wasn't and I wonder why?!?!?! I felt service department I didn't even get acknowledged. When you enter a business you expect to be acknowledged. I wasn't and I wonder why?!?!?! I felt the tension once I entered. I went in for the parts department so I had to bypass both people at the service desk who didn't even ask if I needed assistance or acknowledge me. They saw when I entered but continued to keep their head down and totally ignored my presence. I proceeded to the cashier and very pleasantly spoke to her and she did not have a polite response after I said "hello how are you", but she told me very frank "IF YOU ARE HERE FOR PARTS GO OVER THERE AND JUST RING THE BELL AND SOMEONE SHOULD BE WITH YOU IN A MINUTE OR SO..." I must say that the gentleman who assist me after ringing the bell for some sort of assistance, his demeanor and professionalism wasn't that great either. Even though I live in the neighbor, I would rather travel over the Tappan Zee Bridge and do my business with Palisades Volvo where I purchased my vehicle and where they treat their customers with dignity respect and are very professional. I wouldn't dare return!!!! More
Gene Skelton was very rude to me via email when I got back to him informing him that I received a better price from another dealer and if he could do better in price I would surely like to give him the b back to him informing him that I received a better price from another dealer and if he could do better in price I would surely like to give him the business because up to that point he was courteous. He basically told me that because I didn't show up in his dealership as promised that he would not sell a car to me, that I was not man enough---in spite of the fact that I had a family emergency and couldn't make it that particular day I emailed him when I got home---seems like he has been doing this too long and has forgotten the fact that the customer is always right--and he very much needs training in customer service on how to deal with prospective customers--and I was going to drive out of my way --when there are Volvo dealers that are closer---his boss should know that because of his ego/attitude he lost the dealership business---then he tells me that he could have given me a better price-just doesn't make sense--he would have had me if that was the case More
