I have had two routine service visits since purchasing my V70 on October. The work is done as promised with a detailed explanation of cost beforehand. I bought a certified car from Volvo of Westport back in 2008. It had approximately 30,000 miles on it and was under warranty until it reached 100,000 miles. During the time that the car was under warranty, my headlights were having problems, working then not working, headlights burning out more often than normal. I reported the problem and told them there must be some kind of an electrical problem. The first time I brought it in one of the service guys came out and removed the headlight, shook it until the light came back on and then put it back telling me it must have been loose. The other times I brought it back they replaced the headlights but made me pay for it telling me that it was normal for the headlights to burn out at that rate. Finally, now that my warranty has ended, I took the car in for servicing recently and told them the headlight had burned out AGAIN and would they check it. This time they came back to me and told me that the connectors were bad and needed to be replaced and it would cost me $219.00. I told them that the connectors must have been the problem all along when the car was still under warranty. They refused to fix the problem for me now and want me to pay for it. This is clearly something that was wrong with the headlights all along and had started when the car was still under warranty. I am in disbelief that they didn't acknowledge this and refuse to make the repair for me. I will never set foot in this dealership again. I definitely get the impression from this dealership that they are willing to go above and beyond for the customers who buy a new Volvo every few years but for the little guys like me that buy a certified used car they could care less about giving me good service. More
This was an unusually good experience -- the way it's supposed to be but never is. The dealer not only found the exact car and color I wanted, but managed to get it to arrive in a timely fashion as promi supposed to be but never is. I live in Massachusetts and had car trouble while traveling to NY. Nicole and the service team were amazingly helpful. In the end, I decided to buy a new car and Dan Doig and the sales team were equally amazing. Dan worked to get me into the vehicle I wanted quickly and with such incredible customer service. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dan, Nicole, and the entire Westport Volvo team. I would recommend this dealership to everyone. More
Had a problem with the wind shield wipers and it was corrected within minutes on a holiday weekend. We are extremely satisfied with the cars, but it is the quality of service at this dealership that has be customers of Volvo of Westport since 2004. We are extremely satisfied with the cars, but it is the quality of service at this dealership that has been a deciding factor in our purchases. Appointments are available promptly, our cars are ready when promised, and the quality of repair is excellent. In regard to Kyle, he simply has it all under control. He makes sure to get both me and the car wherever we need to be, on time. He does his research, is on top of what is happening in the shop, and keeps the customers needs in mind at all times. We bought 3 Volvos from Westport Volvo - two pre-certified (used) and one new (actually it had been my husband's lease through his company). We have been very pleased with the service we receive. Yes it is expensive, but you don't get what you don't pay for. Our cars have gone 90,000 plus, 100,000 plus and still running great. When we have on few occasions let non-Volvo folks work on the car, it just hasn't been the same. I know I can trust Westport Volvo. One repair I was quoted at being about $350. When I picked up the car, my bill was for only $35. I questioned this and was told when they opened the car, it ended up being a loose wire and I didn't need the new part. I would never have known the difference. When in a desperate situation, Kyle always makes sure someone can help get the car or get me home. I feel safe knowing they have checked my car. Prices are now even becoming competitive with local mechanics! More
