Excellence from Beginning to End I am usually very critical of car dealerships. However beyond a few trivial matters there is nothing I can complain about with Volvo Cars Princeton. I am usually very critical of car dealerships. However beyond a few trivial matters there is nothing I can complain about with Volvo Cars Princeton. We started by reaching out through the web to Volvo Edison. They sent us a list of cars that we were interested in stock at both Edison and Princeton. We were originally going to go to Edison but were going to be in the Princeton area. First point in their favor, they told us they were happy for us to go to either and they would even move a car from one to the other if necessary. We worked with Paul Melhus who was the epitome of low pressure sales. He answered our questions and let us test drive both vehicles we were considering. He was able to give us Costco pricing on one model, but there was some confusion about the other model this was eventually resolved and in this case I truly think it was an honest mistake because of the way the Costco exclusions were worded. Here is where they really shined in my option. The night before picking up my new car, my trade-in was rear-ended. Admittedly I was in a bit of a panic that I would need to repair the damage and delay closing on the car. However, Paul Forino looked at the damage, took a tiny amount off of my trade-in value and we were good from there. My only other minor complaint was I did wait a while to pick up my car, I give them a pass as it was month end and they had a few people before me show up late which screwed up the entire schedule. Paul walked me through the car on pick up and answered all of my questions. They were even light on pushing all of the normal extras dealerships try to push when you pick up a car. They even provided all of the material to me in advance for me to review at my leisure instead of feeling rushed to make a decision at time of sale. Combine friendly service, treating me with respect, low pressure sales approach, preset Costco pricing and you have a dealership that you can be comfortable working with. I am actually still a little stunned by how simple the entire process was having had nightmare problems with other dealerships in the past. More

When she came in for standard oil/filter changes and maintenance, they challenged her claim that she was entitled to no cost wheel rotation for tires purchased there. After showing the document provided her by the previous service management they finally gave her $50 discount. The steering wheel was also smeared with grease which took a lot of work on her part to clean off. Less than impressed, especially since she very much liked doing business there in the past. More
