Their pre-owned policy of making the car available to the closest dealership (they own) so you can take a test drive is smart & customer oriented. I purchased a traded pre-owned Subaru in Princeton but took a test drive in Bridgewater as it was much closer to where I live. Thomas drove it up & was so accomodating - showing me the interior details. Kathy, my salesperson - was just as professional. She sent me details on their inspection of the car - so as a woman - it was much easier to make a decision. The finance person was very professional & highly organized....going through the paperwork was quick! Overall, as a woman - who hates to buy cars & puts it off....I will be going back to Kathy & this dealership! Thanks. More

There's always something. ....not quite right following a service. I haven't reported through this medium before as I have fed the information back directly and given the bene ....not quite right following a service. However I have found that most car services/repairs (we have two Volvos) require at least one follow up visit, sometimes two, to rectify some minor fault or overlook. I feel that it is a lack of attention to detail. I cannot however fault the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. More

SHIFTY, BUMBLING AND STINGY SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Also now SHIFTY, BUMBLING AND STINGY SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Also now worried that my XC40 is nothing more than rodent food! Sorry and disappointed I have to c SHIFTY, BUMBLING AND STINGY SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Also now worried that my XC40 is nothing more than rodent food! Sorry and disappointed I have to change my initial review. Got a check engine light the 1st year of driving my brand new 2019 XC40. Got the car towed to the dealership. After initially denying me a loaner the service department thought better of it and lent me a nice sedan from their drawer of keys. Mini Cooper always had a loaner for me even for regular maintenance. They politely told me they would update me in a few days as it was the weekend. I got a call on Monday telling me they didn’t get a chance to work on my car as they were short-staffed because of the snow. I waited a few more days getting more suspicious with each day. Finally I decided to call them before they had time to spin their tale. It was then that the service man told me they were having trouble with my systems and modules because they were too new and also it looked like an animal chewed through some of the wires and it wasn’t covered under warranty and he estimated the repairs would be around $700. I told them that’s ridiculous its a brand new car, an SUV from Sweden- they should have designed for the outdoors???? After a few more days of no communication they informed me the ridiculous estimate somehow shot up MORE THAN 3x the amount- to $2400!! My ensuing research uncovered the fact that newer cars use soy-based coatings that are likely to attract rodents (lo and behold the featured photo was of a Volvo SUV!!!) HONDA AND MAZDA had the decency to cover the cost of repairs! Nevertheless I (or anyone I know) have never had this issue with any other car I had- Toyota, Honda, Audi, Mini Cooper, Kia- even with some of them sitting for months. I started to correspond with the corporate office regarding the matter. I informed the dealership as much. They didn’t believe me and despite claiming good faith the owners of the dealership actually AMBUSHED me at my house as I was collecting recycling to take away my loaner!! It’s like they knew they lost me as a future customer and they were just wildly fending for themselves! Needless to say my confidence in Volvo’s product and service is shot! Yes while working my XC40 is a pretty piece of machinery but short of sleeping under my car I will always worry when Volvo will take another 2 grand from me! Volvo not only lost me as a customer, but also my family, my friends, family’s friends, friends’ friends...... More
