Parts Dept. and service mgr. Comment My new 2017 XC 90 was hit by a deer, it was brought to a local shop in Newtown. Promised it could be done in time to take on vacation AS LONG AS THEY My new 2017 XC 90 was hit by a deer, it was brought to a local shop in Newtown. Promised it could be done in time to take on vacation AS LONG AS THEY COULD GET THE PARTS IN. Body shop explained how bad they kept getting the wrong parts and was amazed at the inefficiency. I happened to go in the day before my vacation to pick up parts for my C70 and expressed to women in charge of service department how annoyed I was over the parts screw up and now had to spend $1600 for week SUV rental and would never bring my car here for service...what was her answer?...don't hold the service dept. Responsible for parts dept. problem against them...excuse me but aren't the two related. I was annoyed but at NO time used bad language...a comment that did pop out of her mouth..."maybe I should go to church". Needless to say, I won't say another word....point made. More

Across the Board-Excellence My first experience w/Volvo of Danbury (VOD) was leasing a XC90. In 2012, my husband, since deceased & I purchased a XC70 keeping in mind the need to My first experience w/Volvo of Danbury (VOD) was leasing a XC90. In 2012, my husband, since deceased & I purchased a XC70 keeping in mind the need to accommodate his elderly parents. My relationship w/VOD has been nothing but positive. The service has been amazing. I appreciated that my first 40-K scheduled services were free. I was able to purchase an extended service warranty for my vehicle which I feel was the most conducive & practical option available to me given the amount of miles I drive per year. I recently took my car in to have VOD change the batteries in the remote control key & they performed, at no additional charge, a full diagnostic check. That particular diagnostic revealed work that needed to be done. Since I went in for one thing, the battery change, & the car needing attention in other areas, I was provided w/a loaner to afford the service dept. ample opportunity to thoroughly complete the repairs. They took my time into consideration and did not want to inconvenience me by having me wait around for an undetermined amount of time. The turn around time for these services was same day. 2-3 days later, my trunk would not open. I called VOD, took it in, they were able to look @ it but unfortunately, were unable to find the cause until the next day. Again, I was provided w/a loaner. VOD determined that the trunk needed a part that had to be ordered but it would not be in until the next day. The next day came & the service adviser, Jonathan Cooper called me to let me know that the wrong part had been sent. He felt terribly! The right part came in the very next day & the trunk issue was repaired. Fast forward two to three days later; the trunk again would not open. I called VOD, took the car in after work and was given a loaner before I had a minute to sit in the waiting room. The work required this time was not related to the work, if memory serves, that was performed just a day or two before. Jonathan conferred w/the service manager, Melanie Sullivan. The new issue was repaired at no additional charge to me! Safety is the utmost importance to me so I take comfort in the fact that Volvo has such a high rating in safety. Performance on the road is critical in assuring the safety component as well. I have to say, although I love my wagon, I thoroughly enjoyed the loaners. The vehicles were clean, had ample fuel, had very low mileage & were all new 2017’s. I enjoyed using the technological advances that have been built in to these newer models. I look forward to owning my wagon for many more years to come. VOD will no doubt make this a possibility! I will definitely return to this dealership, if/when I am ready to trade my car in OR when it comes time for my son to get a new car. More

You could tell that he loved talking about the Volvo. He was so knowledgeable and amazing to work with. He wanted to be happy. I walked out with a new Volvo! More
