I have purchased 5 new Volvos from Danbury Volvo starting with a 1991 940. I currently own a two 2001 S60s and a 2011 S80 and have all of the servicing done there. I actually travel 55 miles to go to this dealership when I could go to another Volvo dealership that is 20 miles from my home. I have purchased two cars from them and will continue to do so. They are the first dealership I have dealt with that does not forget about you once you sign on the dotted line. They go out of their way to make the buying and servicing of one of their vehicles a pleasant one. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone thinking of purchasing a Volvo. More
I was shopping for a new volvo s60 t5 over the internet / phone as I just had surgery and was unable to leave my house. My contact with Volvo of Danbury started with filling out the request for quote form on phone as I just had surgery and was unable to leave my house. My contact with Volvo of Danbury started with filling out the request for quote form on their website. My inquiry was quickly followed up with a return email that which began the sales process. From the first phone call up until the time I actually made it to the showroom to pick up the car my salesman, Horace Earle was outstanding. Despite conducting business over the phone, Horace did not once give me the standard "hard sell" and treated me as a person, not just a voice on the other end of the phone. In fact we went back and forth a number of times on different models, options, pricing scenarios, etc. I was frankly amazed when he returned quotes for me that were below what I had originally asked for just to ensure I understand all the pricing / feature options, from low to high. (note, this I still went with my original option which was the mid tier option). it should be noted, I was also looking at Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and a Subaru. In each of these cases, the salesmen on the phone pressured me to come in despite me informing them of my inabilty otherwise, were inflexible with pricing and options, and gave me the standard "we really prefer to talk in person" or "the cars are moving, so you must come in soon...." Overall, my experience was stellar - the best of my car buying experience to date! The sales process was conducted with honesty and I never once felt I was being taken advantage of. In fact it was so positive, I am now considering upgrading our 09 Sienna for an XC90. Kudos to Horace and Volvo of Danbury. You certainly earned my loyality..... More

We have two Volvo's in our family. We have used Volvo of Danbury exclusively for both purchase and service since moving into the Danbury area 7 years ago. Our experience has been nothing short of excellent in every respect. Our sales representative, Kevin actually made buying a car a pleasant experience. There was not even a hint of gamesmanship or high pressure sales tactics during the negotiation and the ultimate price was very fair. The service department at Volvo of Danbury is also deserving of praise. All routine services, as well as repairs on our 1993 Volvo, have been performed expertly, timely and professionally. The service manager, Mike is always able to accommodate my busy schedule and has been great at providing me with a loaner vehicle when needed. I would also add that in my experience the service department has excelled at making the diagnosis and repair the first time without the need for a return visit or second opinion. Overall, my experience with Volvo vehicles and this dealership in particular could not be better. I would highly recommend Volvo of Danbury to anyone interested in purchasing or servicing a Volvo. Many dealerships engage in practices that cast them in a negative stereotype. To complete a transaction that was completely devoid of those characteristics was a tremendous help. The specifics are as follows: The car was a special order. During the waiting period I drove my trade-in vehicle without mileage stipulations. I had to postpone the pick-up after the scheduled delivery time. Upon picking up the car, no attempt was made to alter the deal in any way, nor were any previously agreed upon numbers changed. Everything went as smoothly as one could want, and they even issued me a check due to an overpayment for the registration. This is a true story. More
