My experience here was great until the last ten minutes when I realized that the car I had just paid for did not have any of the options listed on the copy of the window sticker that I was given. The window sticker was for a car being sold by another dealership. While I did reference the price of this other car while negotiating, I don't know why it was printed out and given to me since it did not contain any relevant information. My assumption was that this was the window sticker for the car I was looking to purchase. I did not actually see the window sticker until after I paid for it and after I complained about the missing options. John Maxton, the salesman, barely apologized, if at all. I said I was disappointed that the car was not as I was led to believe and that I should receive some sort of compensation or some of those options installed. He looked at the stickers, compared the options in the two cars and said that they were roughly equal. I replied that while that may be true, they were not the options I was expecting. John then indignantly said that if I didn't like the car then we should "roll back" all the paperwork involving the sale and the trade-in of my jeep; this was three hours of paperwork. I then said that this could be considered bait-and-switch, to which he reiterated (rather combatively, this time) that we should undo all the paperwork that was done. I thought this was an unreasonable suggestion and unprofessional as well. I don't think this situation was well handled. I left very unhappy with my dealings with this guy. Maybe if this saleseperson had said "please accept this trim package with our apologies", or "would some free service appointments satisfy you?", or even "let me talk to the manager and see what we can do", I would have had a more positive experience. Otherwise, I am pleased with the car, it is meeting my needs and I do like the options that are installed. Addendum September 22, 2022 I spoke to the manager, Al Cologna shortly after posting my review. Al listened to my story, recognized there was a problem, apologized and went on to explain how he was unhappy that I left the dealership unhappy. I very much appreciated that Al listened, and was sincere and honest about the situation. Although after the fact, this did well to restore my faith that there is someone at Volvo Cars of Bridgewater who has the high standard of service that I had read about. I wish Al had been there when I purchased the car - I'm sure the the situation would have been dealt with professionally and equitably. I am raising my review by one star partly because of Al. My situation was unusual as well as the circumstances under which I chose a Volvo. I was reluctant to trade-in my jeep for a luxury car. I dislike going through the car buying process, so perhaps that affected my attitude at the time. I would still not do business with them again, but I think my experience was a rare anomaly and that it should not deter others from purchasing a car from here. More
This is our 4th time using Bridgewater Volvo, (1 purchase and 3 leases). We first went to this dealership when we lived in New Brunswick and purchased a S60, we have since moved to Teaneck and continue to ma and 3 leases). There are plenty of Volvo dealers/service centers in our area, one just 9mins away, but the team at Bridgewater makes us feel like family and that is so important to us! From Reception to Service, everyone is FANTASTIC! We just picked up our new SUV today (7/9/22) and when we walked in we were greeted by the amazing receptionist with the brightest smile and before we could even say that we were there to pick up our car, Josh greeted us by name, said that our SUV was ready and he would be taking us through the new features, pairing our phones, installing the app and assisting us with our car seat and mirror settings, talk about top of the line service, thank you Josh! While Josh transferred our plates and re-installed our e-z pass, we met with Steve Dolly to go over the final details and protection plans for the vehicle. We always appreciate working with Steve, he takes the time to explain everything and is honest, it is not about the sale with him, it is about making sure we are comfortable with the decisions we are making and what makes sense for our lifestyle. Thank you Steve, for always keeping it real! And last, but certainly NOT least, is Dominick DiFalco, our MVP, our treasure, the reason why we drive the hour! Today, he greeted us with a bottle of wine and flowers to congratulate us on our new lease, he is the most considerate individual you will ever meet in a dealership. He makes the effort to make the personal connection, he always asks how our kids are doing, he sends us emails during the holidays, lets us know about any loyalty programs that are taking place and he sporadically checks in just to say hello and see how we all are doing especially during COVID. Dominick never lays on any salesman's pressures, he wants us to be happy, confident and satisfied in our car choice as it is a commitment. He is a GEM, a GENTLEMAN and a GIFT and for that we are forever GRATEFUL and will continue to drive the 50miles to purchase, lease and service our Volvos! More

Dominick made the entire process seamless during what could have been a challenging time to purchase a new car. We've had the car for a couple of weeks now and couldn't be happier. The entire staff goes out of their way to make sure everything goes smoothly - Steve in Finance makes all the paperwork easy to understand and Joshua was very helpful and patient in getting us set up with our phones and walking us through the technology. It is always a pleasure seeing and working with Dominick. He answers my emails timely on all questions I had about the car I was looking at. He was able to get me a good rate and deal on the car, even in this financial landscape we are living in today. It is a pleasure to work with Dominick. He always presents me with a bouquet of flowers and bottle of wine to celebrate the purchase. When I bring my car in for service, he always remembers me and says hello and asks about my husband. Steve Dolly was just as friendly, making the experience a personable one. Sharing family stories and making me feel at ease. Going through the paperwork and letting me know what was important to focus on. I remember this from the last time, so this is consistent and not just in the moment. Joshua was great! He was patient walking me through all the features of my new car and said I could call him any time to review.
