I am sorry you were not happy with your service visit. I reviewed the repair order and have spoken to the adviser to get detail on what transpired. The car came in for its 30k service, a recall, and a note about something hanging under the car. The service is a warranty claim and was done at no charge. Recalls are done at no charge. The plastic hanging down was a damaged belly pan which had been resecured by the customer. The pan was not defective so we provided an estimate which was declined. The technician noted the brakes needed replacement based on the wear and we provided an estimate which you declined. It is our policy to provide any information about the vehicle regardless of a warranty claim or not and let the customer decide if they want us to perform the repair. You declined which is fine but it is our responsibility to let you know about it. Based on tire wear the vehicle needs an alignment check and adjustment. You declined which is fine but it is our responsibility as a Volvo dealer to inform you of this. Nobody likes to hear their car needs repairs but it is our job to inform and let you decide for yourself. I feel confident the Service Advisor provided excellent service and stand by the work he provided.

The pan came loose while I was driving. When I resecured it, there was no screw in the location where there should've been. I was informed that I must've hit something. When I posed the question "How could I have hit something if there is literally no other damage?", I was answered with "I've seen a lot of crazy things." To boil that down into something more digestible, he basically said that he didn't believe me, and since he didn't believe me, warranty wouldn't apply to a part that literally fell off of my car while driving. And how could anyone determine if the pan was defective or not, considering that the entire front corner of said pan was melted away since it was dragging on the road for miles? Oh right, "I've seen a lot of crazy things!" As far as brakes are concerned, let's be honest. There is literally no chance that rear brakes wear out faster than fronts. There is also very little chance that any modern vehicle (that isn't a performance-oriented model) that will require new brake linings at all four corners before it reaches 30k miles. Also, I think maybe your micrometer is broken, considering that your tech claimed that my passenger's rear brake linings had 1mm left on them. So strange that when I measured them, there was a solid 5mm left on both the interior and exterior pad. Finally, the 30k mile service was only performed for free after I explained to your service advisor that the service was supposed to be free. His first offer was $94 and change. I get it, service departments need work right now. Most people don't know anything about cars. Your team just happened to try to oversell to someone who does.

2019 S60 20k service with no issues. Washed car and loaned me brand new Volvo XC60. Rotated tires as well. No problems with car so far. More
