I have rated this dealer "great" in all categories because of my experiences with them since the mid-1980's. I've owned Volvos since 1973 (a new 164) and admittedly, I do some work on my c categories because of my experiences with them since the mid-1980's. I've owned Volvos since 1973 (a new 164) and admittedly, I do some work on my cars (currently three 240s, one '84 and two '93s) myself, but if I don't feel qualified or capable of a job, Bridgewater Volvo is the ONLY place that I will let lay their hands on my cars! I don't know the service techs, but the guys in the Parts department are always helpful in identifying and ordering the right new parts for me (I always use Volvo-brand, not aftermarket) -- I've heard horror stories (on some Volvo websites [e.g., VCoA, Brickboard] about other dealers) -- so they deserve a lot of kudoes. But in particular, I want to identify Carl Durant, #192, as my favorite and preferred Service Writer. Carl always patiently tries to understand my sometimes difficult-to-describe (e.g., a certain noise, or erratic behavior) or hard-to-diagnose problem, and sees to it that the service technicians do the job right the first time, as well as complete the job in a timely manner; he promptly notifies me if there's a complication (a delay for a unexpectedly needed part, for example); and he's also very cooperative when I have to schedule some work around my wife (who needs her car to get to work) schedule. Of course, I also appreciate your courtesy car service, and your loaners, when needed. And finally, I want to say that I find your pricing for service to be fair and reasonable, especially compared to some other makes' dealers (but don't let that mean that you should raise your prices to match the others -- ha, ha). Anyway, I'm a very pleased customer because your service and parts departments are so good. More
Steve Dolly got us a great finance rate for the 2009 xc90 I bought after leasing it for 3 years. WOW - the transition from lease to finance was flawless. I leased the car from Bridgewater Volvo, have had it serviced their, and have never had a problem. The service department is terrific. My tire pressure warning light came on while driving to work. I stopped into the dealer and they filled them and checked that nothing was wrong. While there, I picked up a new interior trim part that had come loose. I was surprised that there was no charge and it was covered under the comprehensive maintenance plan. Over the last 2 years, the service department at Bridgewater Volvo has been consistently very friendly and professional and the included, comprehensive, 5-year maintenance plan shows that they stand behind their product. Steve Dolly was an exceptional salesperson... well versed not only on Volvo but other car companies we were contemplating on pursuing. The appointment is always punctual. I'm kept apprised of what's being done to my car, and how long it will take. Excellent dealership. I chose the dealership because of new vehicle price and location, but the sale team turned out to be outstanding. I have been using the dealership for the scheduled maintenance and a new vehicle price and location, but the sale team turned out to be outstanding. I have been using the dealership for the scheduled maintenance and a warranty repair and they were even better! They stay on schedule, communicate well, and make sure that you get to work or home while they have the car. Nice waiting area with food and WiFi if needed. The car is always washed when returned. I will continue using this dealer for both purchases and service. More
