Hi Sig. I'm sorry to hear about your Service experience. It doesn't sound very typical so we will investigate your claims and make any necessary corrections so that it doesn't happen again. It looks like your V50 (I love that car) was about 5 years out of warranty. When a vehicle is out of warranty, the dealership cannot perform repairs for free. On rare occasions we can get special permission from Volvo. Volvo will look at your service history at Volvo Dealers to help make their decision. In regards to the time spent on the repair, we will always quote Industry-standard recommended book times for a repair. We certainty don't guess. Our Certified book is provided by "MOTOR - ALLDATA" Depending on the skill of the Tech, it may take less time and we can often pass those savings along. I'm happy to speak directly with you and answer any questions. I hope you enjoy your new XC90! It's an amazing vehicle and the OSD program is so much fun.
