Unfortunately this changed after taking it in for the first service and a factory recall on the airbags. Annapolis Volvo service department completely destroyed the interior of my vehicle ranging from grease all over the blonde interior, the random screws left in the cup holder that I assume should be holding something in place, scratches on the interior plastic, breaking the sunshade motor, loose headliner, interior columns not lining up correctly and coming undone, chips out of the paint from the service department taking it to a third party without my consent and even leaving the vehicle with less than 5 miles of fuel when picking it up, just to name a few. My vehicle has been back to the service department 3 times and these issues still go unresolved. The owner of Volvo Cars Annapolis completely brushed me off and put these problems on the VP of Volvo Cars Annapolis (Pat Wergin) who at best made nothing more than empty promises who has also wiped his hands clean of the problems caused by his service department. I have been left with no choice but to sell the vehicle and go back to Mercedes as I refuse to deal with this kind of customer service. Volvo wants to market themselves in the luxury vehicle category however the service department does not reflect the purchase of a 70k vehicle. I will absolutely not recommend Volvo Cars of Annapolis and will be reporting them to the appropriate agencies. More
Service department are dishonest thieves I needed a breather valve replaced on my 2008 V-50. It's a known problem, covered under recall for most cars but not my particular VIN. Was told that I needed a breather valve replaced on my 2008 V-50. It's a known problem, covered under recall for most cars but not my particular VIN. Was told that if I had done my oil servicing at the dealer they would have been able to take care of me, but since I hadn't I was out of luck. That's pretty poor (I put s l e a z y but apparently DealerRater doesn't want any Volvo dealer called that so they say it's a profane word!) for a Volvo dealer, but OK, how much will it cost to replace? I'm told it's six hours of labor "per the Volvo shop manual" so I get charged for 6 hours plus the part, no matter what. I buy the OEM part for almost half what they quoted, spend 15 minutes watching a YouTube video on how to change the part and 45 minutes changing it. I timed it, just to be sure. Now presumably Annapolis Volvo has professional mechanics on staff, who are experts on working on Volvos. Which means that if this weekend warrior could do the job in an hour they could easily do it in less. And yet they are going to charge me for 6 hours of work, because that's what the service manual says. How is that not illegal again? How often do they do this. I just bought a brand new 2018 XC-90. I went with Overseas Delivery from a dealer in NC and am picking up at Silver Springs Volvo. I will NEVER buy a car or spend a dime in service at Annapolis Volvo, business that was there's to loose since I live 5 minutes away from the dealership and will be buying Volvos for the next 30 years. Stop with the excuses and It seems to be the case that every time this dealership's SERVICE department messes up, they do everything except apologize. Stop with the excuses and just say "I'm sorry", which will earn you better respect. I have nothing bad to say about their SALES department, since they have always worked well in selling us vehicles with no pressure. But because the service department is lacking in deference towards their customers, it is time for me to find another Volvo dealership. More

I have been a Volvo customer for 8 years and Luis is the reason I have remained with Annapolis Volvo's service team. Each time I bring my car in for service, he thoroughly explains the service being rendered and let's me know if there is any issue discovered that should be addressed in the service. He is extremely knowledge and is always available when I call with a question about my vehicle between services. When considering a car purchase in the future, Volvo will probably be my choice due to the exceptional service experience I have had at Annapolis Volvo with Mr. Cabrera. More

He and Walt have helped me cement my brand loyalty over many years. No detail goes unnoticed and acted upon, and I always retrieve my car having been called first and knowing what has been done and why. With forty plus years of driving and owning Volvos, I have experienced an evolution from safety and functionality to safety, functionality, and beauty in clean design. Thank you for your loyal service over the years, Walter Clements and Louis Cabrera... You're the BEST! More
Horrible service department. Every single time we had to take the car back to have the jobs that were said to be done completed as they were not. This last time they tried to say a gasket was not covered so we owed 200+ out of pocket for the repair. This was also a lie the temp sensor came as a complete set ( sensor, tstat,& housing). Well the short of it they billed the warranty company for the complete housing and just used the sensor instead of the complete set. (And billed labor for the complete repair). The engine light came back on and my wife is furious and goes back up and gets the run around once again and they have no idea where the part they charged for is and they said they can fit us in Friday to do the job right..... What a joke and I hope no one should be treated like this by a dealership or any professional business. More

We had seen the car we liked at the car show in DC, and liked the idea of getting a premium European vehicle without the Mercedes BMW price tag. We had the best sales experience of any new car purchase we had ever made (in the last 25 years, I've bought 12 new cars and a couple of used ones). Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ended. Without going into a long and drawn out story about our service issues over the past three years, I'll just say that I believe every negative thing that I've read on this site about others' experiences because the same common thread exists and it matches with our experience. That common thread is incompetence, coupled with BS in order to increase profit in the service department by any means necessary while making the least possible effort to take care of the customer and the customer's vehicle. We always felt that we were being sold unnecessary services while nothing was done to resolve actual problems. To make a long story short, we traded in the car that we really liked last month for a different brand just so that we don't have to deal with Annapolis Volvo's service department ever again. More
