Taking care of our XC90 means taking care of our son Walt has been our go to service guy for years. The 2005 XC90 (240k miles) was passed down to our teenage son to drive last year. So, keeping it and Walt has been our go to service guy for years. The 2005 XC90 (240k miles) was passed down to our teenage son to drive last year. Service-Great Service from the front desk Host named Louis It was easy to get in, tired repair done in a timely manner. When leaving the money machine was down. Louis didn't hold us up for payment. Recall nightmare Took my 2016 XC90 in for a recall. The initial process with service advisor was ok. I was given a loaner car which was great so everything was good un Took my 2016 XC90 in for a recall. The initial process with service advisor was ok. I was given a loaner car which was great so everything was good until returning back to pickup my vehicle. After getting my vehicle and departing from the dealership as I merge onto the hwy I notice the catalytic converter warning light appearing on my dash. Remember I just took my car in for a major recall so Im scared and livid at this point. I tried calling the dealer to ask for service advisor Carwin and he doesnt pick up his phone so I leave a message. At this point im stuck in traffic so I call the main number and I get no one. So I hang up and call the main number again and I tell the receptionist whats going on so she transfers me to Carwins the service advisor phone and still no answer so I send a text to the text notification that was initially sent to me stating that my car was ready for pickup but still no response. So I arrive back at the dealership and tell the Mr Carwin what happened but he seems unphased and disinterested in what happened. Im not sure but maybe thats his personality but it made me feel like I was a bother and overreacting. Ultimately he did have the technician fix the problem explaining to me what happened afterwards but overall just not a good experience. Been having my Volvos serviced at Annapolis for years and hope to continue. Hopefully my next visit will be a positive one. I think customer service should be Annapolis Volvo top priority and when issues arise it should be handled with more empathy and humility. We shall see More
