Thom took the time out of his day to discuss my options and even searched for another vehicle like the one I wanted to see if I was getting the most for my money. I would've left the other dealership and took my business to Thom at Anapolis Volvo but my wife was tired of going through the mess and wanted to finish the deal with the first dealership and move on. Thanks to Thom for his great support! More
My recent experience at Annapolis Volvo was great. I was searching online for an Acura TSX and found one here. Although it is not a Volvo the used car department is able to get other makes too. I emailed searching online for an Acura TSX and found one here. Although it is not a Volvo the used car department is able to get other makes too. I emailed about the car and received a response the next day. I came in to test drive the car and it drove beautifully. The salesman, Jacob Wright, was very curtious, professional and straight with me. I don't like to haggle at dealerships so I appreciated this. I had a trade in which they gave me a price on that matched CarMax. This was great because I did not need to make another trip to sell my vehicle there. I also told them I had financing set up with a very low rate. They were able to beat it, so this saved me yet another trip to the bank. So I was able to trade in my vehicle, purchase one and finance all right there in one trip, in one day. So that is not all. After dealing with the salesman the next step is talking to the finance and business manager. Usually most people don't like doing this either, but she, Tricia Pruitt, was so very pleasant to work with. She was also very nice and personable. I of course liked her even more for getting me a great rate. Over all my experience was great and everyone there is a class act. More
I have been looking to replace my aging BMW for several years, and studying Consumer Reports Reliability Pricing guides forever. I finally narrowed my search down to a 2011, 2010 Volvo XC70. I then began m years, and studying Consumer Reports Reliability Pricing guides forever. I finally narrowed my search down to a 2011, 2010 Volvo XC70. I then began my unpleasant journey through Northern Virginia Volvo dealerships, both in person and the Internet. Unsatisfactory at every turn, female working to purchase via phone and internet contact initially was either disregarded, or created attempts to take advantage via unrealistic pricing. I finally located the vehicle I desired through the Volvo Company's on line Inventory search which led me to Annapolis Volvo and Mr. Lamm 42 miles from my home, but $3000 dollars less than the Northern Va offers, and willing to discuss with me via phone and internet. When I finally arrived to test drive the vehicle, Thom and his folks were superb, kind, patient, professional and had no hidden pricing or attempts to change my mind. I ended up buying one of the most beautiful, safest cars I have ever owned with better financing than my own Credit Union. Amazing- would highly recommend them to anyone, regardless of the drive. Thanks Annapolis Volvo! More
Their motto should be keep replacing parts until the check engine light goes off, correcting diagnosing an issue doesn't generate revenue for them. We went in 3 times over 2 weeks for a check engine lig check engine light goes off, correcting diagnosing an issue doesn't generate revenue for them. We went in 3 times over 2 weeks for a check engine light... fuel pump sensor, air flow sensor, another sensor... instead of taking the time to diagnose the issue, they'd rather throw a random part at it to fix it. The 3rd time we went to pick up the car (good luck getting a loaner) the check engine light was still on. We brought it in because the light was on & failed emissions. They stated that the light will sometimes come on. Um, no. Needless to say one day after we picked up the car for a 3rd time we brought it in we just said F this & traded it in. I'd rather shove bamboo shoots under my fingernails than return there. Good points: they have free soda while you're waiting (an 8am oil change will get you out of there around 10:30am). Stephanie is the only one that seems to have ethics there. Luis is also a good person, and he can only control so much on the shop floor. Walt is a horrible human and has a bad attitude. The service manager only cares about the bottom line & his commissions from sales. If you want quality, go anywhere else. Anywhere. More
I bought a pre-owned 2008 Lincoln Navigator from this dealer and can say nothing but positive things. Our sales rep, Kae Engel made the entire process (from test driving the vehicle to working out the p dealer and can say nothing but positive things. Our sales rep, Kae Engel made the entire process (from test driving the vehicle to working out the price) pleasurable. She had a great personality and was able to give me a good amount of information on the vehicle. The Navigator was in excellent condition and it only had 34k miles on it. The price was unbeatable. If you are looking for a nice pre-owned vehicle or a new Volvo I strongly recommend this dealership. I traveled from Fairfax, VA to buy the Navigator and will make this trip again to buy my next car. This is the second Volvo we've gotten here (our first was an S40, that we loved) - the cars and dealership are great! When we lost pairing between cell & blue tooth they came to our house to update and showed us what we had forgotten when we first got the car- unbelievable! We hadn't even considered a Volvo but took a look on a whim and now wouldn't think of going to any other dealer or brand thanks to Frank and all of the talented people on staff including Rick who just helped put us in a bigger and sportier S60. I have owned a Volvo for 8 years. During that time I have had the car serviced in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado. Annapolis Volvo by far has the worst customer service I have ever encountere had the car serviced in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado. Annapolis Volvo by far has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. My experience at Annapolis Volvo has been horrible and after more than 2 weeks, I still do not have my car back, nor do I have any idea when it will finally be fixed. Problems with my car that are not within the dealership's control, I understand. Unresponsive service members and management that only responds to a male voice? Inexcusable. I expected the service agent assigned to my car to call me with updates and yet over the past 2 weeks I have had to call him and have had no luck getting updates or an accurate estimate of when my car will be finished. It's painful. Each time I get him on the phone, his replies are iterations of "I don't know when your car will be done, let me give you call when I know."..... and then nothing, or "Maybe it will be done tomorrow." And that has yet to happen either because as of right now Annapolis is expecting a hurricane (Irene) and I will be without my car. I will also need to continue paying for a rental car since Volvo refused to provide me with a loaner. I appreciate the service team's efforts and hard work on my car, truly. But at the end of the day I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, especially a female. I regret choosing Annapolis Volvo in the first place and next time I need service, I will gladly drive further to another dealership. More

While the sales personnel are pleasant, the support trail is lamentable. Unfortunately, once the customer has parted with the cash, all further work on the purchase ceases. Finance and titling are unaccept is lamentable. Unfortunately, once the customer has parted with the cash, all further work on the purchase ceases. Finance and titling are unacceptably slow in processing paperwork. It is unfortunate that the sales personnel, who leave a pleasant impression, are then betrayed by the ineptness and delays in the personnel who complete the sale, leaving the buyer with an unpleasant taste in his/her mouth.
