From great to never ever again First let me start off by saying the service department is excellent. They are the only ones to service my Passat over the past three years and I hav First let me start off by saying the service department is excellent. They are the only ones to service my Passat over the past three years and I have nothing but praise for their expertise, professionalism and courtesy. I've worked directly with Joe Romano and John Judan who are both model employees. Second, I leased the Passat three years ago and they made the experience pleasant and easy. I walked away happy with my deal which was fair and not forced. So I recently decided to purchase the Passat and that is where my pleasant experience ended. First, I had to pay an extra $999 in addition to the purchase price. When asked why, was just told it was required. Now my wife has a Mazda 3 that we recently bought out the lease, and there was no such fee. But fine, I'll pay the extra $999. But then I met Michael Inserillo, the Finance Manager and it was all downhill from there. His job was to sell me the service contract and when I refused, his tactic was to make me feel stupid for not wanting it. He made comments under his breath, rolled his eyes and projected body language that I was an idiot for not doing what he wanted. Challenging me at every point, and not very polite. In fact I felt like I was getting yelled at and lectured at like a teenager. Told me I'm getting a 72 month loan. I told him I wanted a 36 month and again, so much attitude that I'm dumb for wanting that. So much for the professionalism. Then he made me wait, and wait..and wait. Which was another tactic because at this point I wanted to get out of there and that was his opportunity to add an additional $1500 to my loan contract. While I'm the fool for not catching it before signing the contract (which I think was the play all along), its horrible to be treated like this. So now I'm stuck with a loan that is $1500 more than planned. Oh and as someone else mentioned, he also told me I could not pay off the loan in 6 months and if I was going to do that, he would call the bank and cancel the loan. I was mad, but now it's just funny. I'm never going back to his dealership for anything and I'm done with VW as a whole. More

Jasmine was very pleasant, professional, and honest from the start. I would recommend anyone interested in getting a VW to go to Atlantic. Everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. Justin Himes was our salesperson with the last Jetta and he too was awesome. However, he wasn't there last week when my husband and I went in so that's how we met Jasmine. More
Typical Bait and Switch I was all set to buy a used Passat. Great car only 8,000 miles. Salesperson was great. Car was prepped and ready to go. When I got to Michael Inserillo, the finance guy, he tried to sneak in an extra $2,400 for VW certification. When I told him I didn't want it, he said that the car could not be sold to me at the agreed to price if I didn't get it. Typical bait and switch. He also tried to tell me that I could not refinance the loan for at least 3 months. Complete lie and illegal practice. I have previously leased two cars from this location but will never return. Thanks for wasting my whole day. More
Good Dealership Gone Bad :( I've previously bought here before but times have changed, first they tried to pull a bait and switch by listing the Beetle we were looking at for 10, I've previously bought here before but times have changed, first they tried to pull a bait and switch by listing the Beetle we were looking at for 10,495 which was a very reasonable price but then when you go in they blam the price you've shown them on a third party error and that "he has to check with a manager to give that price" and the price they have is 11,999. Then they make you wait all to go over numbers to charge "include" a dealer prep fee of $795 and then a administrative fee of $695... who's ever heard of this? It's unreasonable and very dishonest. As I said I've previously purchased here and didn't have to go through such deceitful business's practices. Oh and I was told that those prices are non negotiable and included on every vehicle. Beware Atlantic VW!! More
Pleasant I took my vehicle to this dealer for repair of a flat tire. I had bought my vehicle from this dealer approximately one year ago. Initially when I call I took my vehicle to this dealer for repair of a flat tire. I had bought my vehicle from this dealer approximately one year ago. Initially when I called the service department I was told they could not provide me with a loaner car and I would have to arrange for a rental car myself. This was very distressing news as I am a home care nurse and am therefore dependent on my vehicle. However, when I reached the dealer the serviceman who assisted me, John, immediately set me up with a loaner car. John was excellent about keeping me up to date about the repairs. John was polite, helpful, and understanding. John he made what could have been a very bad experience a pleasant one. More
