I took it in to the dealership expecting to wait all day for it to be fixed and to pay an arm and leg. I worked with Charles and he was friendly and kept me up to date with what was happening with my vehicle. After waiting about 30 minutes, they knew exactly what the issue was, that it would be covered under the power train warranty, and that it would take an extra day to fix it. So they put me in a rental vehicle at no charge to me and I was able to enjoy the rest of my day instead of waiting on my vehicle. They went above and beyond and also took care of an oil change for me. No cost and great, friendly service! More

Al and Drew were professional and understanding in showing that we we're mistaken, but nevertheless went the extra step to resolve the issue to our satisfaction. We have bought four vehicles from this dealership and will continue to do so as long as we feel our business is appreciated. Mo Borno is our go to salesperson. Al is our preferred service tech and Drew is the finance guy. More

My inital ex So, to sum up I went into VW South Charlotte to get an alignment done, my car's steering had gone off center and I wanted to it fixed. My inital experience was not good. The steering had not been adjusted and seeing my car driven out with another GTI behind it, I assumed the worst and thought that my car was being taken for a joyride. The next day I came back and finally my steering was adjusted and all was well. My concern was raised and that evening the general manager reached out to me personally to let me know that he had taken everything I said seriously and would look into it. I was completely shocked the next day when Travis the service manager had reached out to me. He had personally taken the time to review the dealership's security footage and was genuinley shocked to hear the accusations that my car was mishandled. After he had reviewed the footage he had assured me that my car was never taken for a joyride and offered reasonable explanations for everything that I had witnessed. I did not expect such levels of commitment from management to address my concerns and I was very happy to hear that the management at VW South Charlotte actually cares so much! This is not something that I can say for other dealerships. From that alone, I can say that the experience was excellent. It's so rare to find dealerships that really care about their customers and the experience that they have. I can definitely say that mine and friennds' and family's car will be returning here for future work! More

Volkswagen has ha Millions of customers are being bilked out of thousands for KNOWN timing chain issues in ALL VW and Audi models since at least 2008. Volkswagen has had a known timing chain issue where the tensioner loosens up and allows the timing chain to slip, ruining engines for VW and Audis. There was a class action lawsuit that VW/Audi lost but they did not admit faulty issues with all years. So, now they are finding that years in between the ones covered on the suit and after the ones covered on the suit are having the same issues and South Charlotte Volkswagen is quoting several thousands of dollars in repairs on timing chain issue for cars that are less than 100,000 miles, even though the suggested FIRST MAINTENANCE for timing chains is 105,000 to 110,000 miles. They are knowingly bilking customers out of thousands of dollars for an issue that they have known about for ten years and refused to fix. They have told us that our car either needs to have $2,121.92 of parts and $1,800 in labor or should be towed to another location. IT SHOULD NOT EVEN BE DRIVEN. It is a 2015, purchased new and suggested timing chain maintenance followed. And, we have been told IT IS NOT DRIVABLE unless we cough up over $3,000. MIND YOU, these issues were all know at the same time that VOLKWAGEN was completely aware of the TDI/DIESEL issue as well and that also cost them millions. VW and AUDI should be making all of these repairs FREE OF CHARGE. For more information, just Google timing chain settlement. ON Goole reviews, South Charlotte VW posted that they wanted to speak to us, so we called and have left two messages...with no replies from John Schmidt, the service manager More

He also gave caution for safety until repairs could be made. Charles was very professional once I got to the dealership. He took a complete history of the reasons for service and once the car was checked out provided complete feedback as to the service needs. He also helped me catagorize priorities to service right away. I left the dealership very confident to travel and could tell quite a difference in braking and driving! Very grateful for the excellent service! More

Charlotte a couple of weeks back. I went back with a technical issue I was having with the 12V outlets. Apparently was using an aftermarket jack that was not up to par. Juerg stuck it in an envelope, got the outlets working again and popped the defective jack in an envelope, marking it "Do not use". He then coordinated with Vic Finney to bring the car back to me at my office, as Kwasi was off work that day. I dropped Vic back at the dealership and was on my way. Way to go, guys! Ten out of ten! Discrimanation towards women I wish I could give a raving review about my experience at VW of South Charlotte. Due to Joerg Kuehni, that would be impossible. Nobody likes to giv I wish I could give a raving review about my experience at VW of South Charlotte. Due to Joerg Kuehni, that would be impossible. Nobody likes to give a bad review, that means that they had a bad experience and it affected them in someway. Joerg was so condescending to me and accused me of breaking my own window that he actually made me cry. He told me that unless there is a code that they can not fix it. He informed me that VW does not allow that and they can't take my word for it. He recanted that statement after he said it. From the first phone call to him when I made my appointment he was so disrespectful and so unpleasant that I didn't want to deal with him. When I asked him his name and I repeated it back to him, he spelled it so slow pausing after each letter, being rude. I asked my husband to take the day off of work and go with me since he heard the noise too and Joerg already implied I was making it up. My husband and I dropped off my car and from the moment we stepped into Joerg's office he was trying to intimidate me from his body language and told me that there was nothing wrong with my car and accused me of breaking it on purpose. Joerg treated me very rude and was talking down to me, I do believe it was because I was a woman. He talked and dealt with my husband completely different. With my husband there I did tell Joerg that I felt he was discriminating against me because I was a woman and he didn't believe me because I was a woman. He responded by saying, "I am sorry you feel that way. " I responded by saying, "That is the opposite of an apology, obviously you don't think you have done nothing wrong." He then said to me, "You are offended because I didn't laugh at your joke." I told him not to comment on how I feel. I asked who his boss was and he just said "John", I replied, "just John?" He then told me his last name. The entire time he talked to me he was tearing up a piece of paper. This was very threatening to me. I felt like he could snap at any moment. I knew my husband wouldn't let anything happen to me. There was not one other female employee in the service department. As a woman I would feel very uncomfortable and unsafe to-go back to VW South Charlotte alone. As we left that day, Joerg said in a very sweet and sarcastic tone, "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays." I was wearing a Santa hat, so he obviously knew I celebrated Christmas. I turned around and said, "really? Again condescending." He was mocking my beliefs. My husband was furious, he told John later, that Joerg had 2 upset customers in his office and his is going to say in a happy voice, "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays." My husband took the way I was treated way worse then I probably did. He has encouraged me to come forward and tell how I was treated by Joerg. They of course were unable to fix my car and my husband had to take it back. It is a shame that I can no longer do business with the dealership I bought my car from due to the fact they allow an employee to treat a woman differently than a man. That is discrimination. More
