With my home located 1.5 hours north of this dealership, in December of 2009 I purchased two VW's from VW of South Charlotte. One was a used 2007 3.6 Passat and other a new 2009 3.6 CC. The entire buying process for both cars lasted no more than 2 hours. The dealership and David Phannareth did everything possible in order for me to achieve the best deal. Here is an example of fantastic customer service: After purchasing the CC I was driving home via 85 North when I noticed the car pulling a little to the left. I called David Phannareth and he contacted the local VW dealership in Greensboro which aligned and balanced the tires with absolutely no questions asked or fee charged. I believe VW of Charlotte and David have a returning customer in a couple of years and I would highly recommend a visit if your in the market for a VW! Thumbs Up! -Ron P Greensboro, NC More
David was very nice to work with as were everyone else we spoke with. The wagon is great. I wanted the same but in a larger spaced car so I chose the 2010 Jetta TDI sportswagon as I was trading in a Nissan Quest which is the largest van and called a SUV. I loved the Nissan but it wasn't great on fuel and was like a tank sometimes. So far I love the VW and thank David & all the others for their help. More
I recently visited VW of South Charlotte to explore the sign and drive deals featured on the new VW CC model. My experiece was quite positive. Not only was I impressed with the vehicle and all the features for the price - but the sales person (Dominic Spence) and the finance team made my trade and lease purchase a seamless transaction. I told them upfront my terms and interests - and they worked hard to make a deal that I would be happy with. I am now a proud owner of a new 2010 VW CC - and love the car. It helps that my experience at the dealership was a positive one. In fact - I was out of the dealership and in my new car within 2.5 hours - from start to finish. If you are considering a new car - consider the VW cc and the current sign and drive program. You get a lot for you hard earned dollars - and the team there will work to earn your business. Chris Smith heard me from the get go. He understood that I knew what I wanted and didn't try to steer me to something that I may have ultimately been unhappy with. They did not have what I wanted on the lot but Chris and the guys and gals at Volkswagen of South Charlotte worked 100% to find the car that I wanted. And I got it! I am so in love with my VW Jetta TDI Sportwagen! I truely do have "fahrvergnügen"! More

I purchased my new VW at the sister dealership, Carolina Volkswagen. They did such a horrible job servicing my vehicle that I stopped going there and took my vehicle to this dealership. I found out throug Volkswagen. They did such a horrible job servicing my vehicle that I stopped going there and took my vehicle to this dealership. I found out through VW corporate that both of these dealerships are owned by the same entity. I was told by VW corporate that they would contact VW of South Charlotte and ensure that my service needs were handled properly. I tried to get what seemed to be a simple HVAC system problem corrected. After explaining my experience to the Service Manager, Alan, he promised me that I would not have any issues with his service team. I took my vehicle in and spoke with the service tech, George. I again explained that I had a horrible experience with Carolina VW and was hoping that it was an isolated issue. He promised me that my vehicle would be repaired correctly the first time. Both Alan and George lied. The first time I took my vehicle in for repair for the HVAC system, it was not fixed. Due to my busy schedule, I was unable to take it back in for another few weeks. I again called and spoke with Alan and explained that this would be the 5th time that I was hoping VW would be able to fix their own manufactured vehicle. I took my car back in and they kept it for 2 days. After picking the car up and driving home, I noticed that there were car parts on the front passenger floor. There was also a noise that was coming from under the dash on the front passenger side of the vehicle. After further inspection, I realized that they failed to replace the HEPPA filter and associated housing material. There was warm air rushing out from the space where the filter should have been. Instead of wasting anymore time and effort with a car manufacturer and dealer that does not care about its customers, I immediately traded my vehicle in for another brand. If you choose to do business with either Volkswagen of South Charlotte or Carolina Volkswagen, be prepared to have the worse service possible. They will probably treat you very well if you purchase a car, but they will treat you like crap if you ever take that vehicle in for service. More
