I called to bring my almost brand new vehicle in for service because the charging door wouldn't open, they said I could be scheduled same day and to come on in. When I arrived, staff lacked attention an service because the charging door wouldn't open, they said I could be scheduled same day and to come on in. When I arrived, staff lacked attention and did not have any record of my call. I arrived at 3:30pm on a weekday when the service center closes at 6, but no service advisor could be bothered to do an intake on the vehicle. Instead, she chose to have me fill out an after-hours envelope to drop off the vehicle. Once they parked my vehicle later in the evening, I noted in the VW app they couldn't be bothered to lock my car. Hopefully they have security overnight. The next day, they worked on the vehicle and basically blamed it on me for not unlocking the car when opening the charging door, although I tried locked an unlocked. No charge service trip, and issue seems to be resolved, but I do not feel I will return to this dealer for service, More
My experience with VW of Pompano Beach was nothing short of a disaster, and you'd definitely be better off going somewhere else. I financed a pre-owned Nissan Altima with what they called a 'Bumper to Bu of a disaster, and you'd definitely be better off going somewhere else. I financed a pre-owned Nissan Altima with what they called a 'Bumper to Bumper' warranty. Just a few hours after leaving the dealership, the car had a transmission problem. The next day, I took it back to the dealer, and the sales manager recommended that I choose another car. I insisted in having the Altima fixed, but he advised me it would be better to move on to another one. So I picked a VW Passat and asked for the purchase terms to remain the same as with the first car. After driving the Passat for a day, the engine developed a strange issue where it wouldn't go over 2,000 RPM. I brought it back to the dealership, and they found a problem with the wiring harness, which this time, they decided to fix. Three months later, the gear shifter stopped working, so I had the car towed to the dealership, expecting my 'Bumper to Bumper' warranty to cover the repair. I was then hit with a $1,000 estimate to fix the shifter bushing. I told them the car was under warranty, but it took seven days for them to inform me that there was no warranty purchased on the car. I spoke to the service advisor, the service manager, the sales manager, and finally the general manager, who found out the warranty I paid $3,200 for on the Altima was never applied to the Passat. I asked for it to be applied to the Passat, but he said he couldn’t do it. In other words, they managed to perform two sales on me, and now I'm stuck with a car that has no warranty, despite having paid for one. To sum it up: not only does VW of Pompano Beach sell unreliable cars, but they also don’t seem to know how to handle their paperwork. But they're very good at tacking on extra interest if you're financing, specially if they can make it twice. More
