We have a 2001 Passat, very low mileage and it runs well. We took it in for an oil change and also inquired about an oil leak. After inspection, we were told that there was so much oil on the engine that it would be impossible to tell where leak was coming from. We were quoted almost $3000 with no guarantee that they would even be able to find the leak. The service representative asked us what we wanted to do with the car. (Keep it and maintain it, of course!) When we asked to have the car washed, which is usually a courtesy given with an oil change, we were told it would take 40 minutes. To add insult to injury, forty minutes later when the car was released to us it was still dirty. More

Service wrongly identified additional work to be performed at my option. Maybe was a new technician as I have been a 11 year single owner and customer of this vehicle. performed at my option. Maybe was a new technician as I have been a 11 year single owner and customer of this vehicle. More

Buyer Beware!! I made the mistake of leasing a 2019 VW Tiguan in July of 2019. The vehicle has been leaking water for the past year. (There is a class action suit regarding the leaky Tiguan sunroof) I wa Tiguan in July of 2019. The vehicle has been leaking water for the past year. (There is a class action suit regarding the leaky Tiguan sunroof) I was told back in May of 2020 by Ed Skybinski that the vehicle would likely be eligible for a buyback since they were unable to repair the vehicle. Here we are mid September 2020, and I still don’t have a permanent vehicle. I have been driving loaners and rentals since April while making payments on a vehicle that is not in my possession. While it is clearly apparent that they have not been successful repairing my vehicle, it still has not been replaced. Over the last several months, I have been given the run around from both VW of America and VW of Orland Park. Deadlines have been broken time and time again. I have been promised a resolution date for the buyback several times by the corporation and told more times than I can count that my vehicle has been repaired and will be ready for pick up to no avail. If you have problems with your vehicle, this dealership will not support you. The customer service is nonexistent. I will never purchase another Volkswagen vehicle ! Ugh!! More
I love Volkswagen as a brand. However I have not had the best experience during my last few visits. On 7/3/20 I brought my 2012 Passat in bcs the valance had completely fallen down. I trusted the service te best experience during my last few visits. On 7/3/20 I brought my 2012 Passat in bcs the valance had completely fallen down. I trusted the service team to find out why that happened,AND I trusted them to fix it. After my visit, 2 days later the valance had fallen down again. I went back to Volkswagen on 7/6/20 to have it repaired. I was told that certain parts needed to be replaced, totalling over 550$. Even tho that as expensive to me, I trusted the service department yet again. After several hours of waiting for the repair, I received my vehicle with the new parts. I drove my vehicle less than 24 hours and realized the same conditions that I brought my vehicle into the dealership with, were still there, so I visited Volksqagen again, and spoke to Ed Skebinski. He was attentive and asked the team to lift my vehicle so that we can possibly find out why the valance continued to fall. After his inspection, he determined that there was a specific part missing on my vehicle that kept allowing the valance and bumper to fall. The job would cost approximately 1300$+. My issue was not the cost. My issue was I felt very take. Advantage of. Had my vehicle been properly inspected the first time, I would have known the full extent of what was needed, and not wasted 500$+ replacing a part that would not stay in place due to another issue. That was completely inconsiderate. I feel taken advantage of as a woman, bcs automotive service is predominantly a Male based business, and Vollswagen of Orland Park capitalized off my lack of expertise In automotive services. I am very disappointed. This is the 2nd time I ever experienced this. I miss Brad. He was AKWAYS very informative and kind. More
