I wanted to buy a new Beetle convertible; as I had owned 2 Cabrios & really loved them. We went to two dealerships to compare prices; VW of Orland was our first stop. He was very friendly, gave us his best out the door price, as we asked. We told him we were going to one other dealer, and would be back if they could not match his price. As soon as we left, both my husband and I commented on how great we felt about the way we were treated - no pressure, very respectful of our time. We had brought my Cabrio here for service a couple of years ago, and remembered how good they were. After going to a 2nd dealer, we called Rich & told him we'd be in to write the deal on the Beetle. When we went back (a few days later), he remembered us by name, and walked us through the paperwork with no hassles. I just picked up my Beetle this a.m. When we arrived, the car was ready, and Rich spent about an hour with me to make sure I knew how everything worked. He helped me set my clock, set my radio stations, made sure I had the seats and mirrors adjusted to my liking. He also set up a 30-day check-up time for me to bring in my car & have them make sure everything is working as expected, and that there are no questions. He also said that if I have any questions to just call in or stop by and he or someone else will be happy to help. This was the most pleasant car-buying experience I've ever had! VW has a customer for life in me; and VW of Orland Park is where I will shop, and where I will send my friends & family! More
Volkswagen of orland was very helpful while I was selecting my vehicle. They're customer service was terrific especially Kamila Labuda, my sales consultant. You know what Let me preface this review before I start. First off, I don't usually do reviews on dealers because they are all basically the same. You know what you are going to get, long battles over the over priced sale tags, excuses on what they can't do and the usual back and forth games they play. Secondly, I consider my self a very informed and savy buyer. I do my homework, try to get a good idea of what something is worth and then research more. I've walked away from 3 deals prior to this because it wasn't good enough, I don't settle. Lastly, I'm a very picky buyer. Going outside of state lines is out of my comfort zone. I've been warned by local dealers to "Stay away from Chicago, they aren't required to so anything but wash the car" and I've also heard stories such as places like Auto Barn who offer you "pre-certified" prices and once you get there add on the price for the certification. So if you are reading this, I would suggest you value you this a little more than normal. This will be a little lengthy but I think it's important that it gets read. Now, I am from Milwaukee and I've been looking for a VW Tiguan for my wife for a few weeks ready to pull the trigger on a deal. Unfortunately, I haven't had much success with locating the vehicle within my specs in the Milwaukee market. Given that, my wife and I expanded our search to the Chicago and St. Paul areas. She located a vehicle on the http://www.vworland.com/ site, however the vehicle was new to the site so there only was a generic file photo and very minimal details on the trim level or options. So I called right away Tuesday night and spoke to Eddie he gave me some basic information but told me that the images would be up tomorrow morning , the vehicle just came in. Wednesday came, still no images, so I emailed Eddie. Turns out he was off work on Wednesday and off for the July 4th holiday, but on Wednesday he called me and actually went in to send me photos. I was then passed off to work with Dave Thompson. Dave was great, he sent me even more photos to show my wife while we tried to decide if we should make the 2 hour trip to see the vehicle later that night. Dave and I were in constant contact all day Wednesday, talking about condition, negotiating price and trade in value, never once did it feel like I was wasting his time given how far I was away. Like I mentioned before, I'm very picky and Dave assured me the car was in really really nice shape. Dave worked as a true professional the entire day and I trusted his judgement. Fortunately, after some back and forth, we came to a fair agreement on price that would lure me down there to actually test drive and see the vehicle first hand. So I left work Wednesday afternoon, packed up the family and we took the road trip down to Orland Park. With no knowledge of the time of our arrival, Dave was at the door waiting for us figuring how who we were as soon as we pulled up. We were immediately taken to the back of the facility where the vehicle was waiting for us. My wife hopped in and I gave the car a good once over. I was expecting little things here and there but Dave was definitely true to his word. The vehicle was pristine and surpassed my expectations. I was really happy that Dave was upfront with me and I didn't have any surprises. Also one thing that I wanted to point out, what I found very attractive is that this dealership seems to price their vehicles priced right. In my search for a Tiguan I was finding that most dealers were asking somewhere between $4K-$6K over book value whereas Orland Park VW seemed to have their Tiguan aggressively priced to sell. In my case they were already within $2K of what I though value was. So as a buyer, I liked they weren't inflating their asking price to come down to make it appear I was getting a deal. After the test drive we decided we'd take it. Paperwork was quick given we did majority of the talk over the phone during the day. Dave was a class act, personable, informative and just great to deal with. After we wrapped up with Dave we spoke to Steve while the paperwork was with Joe. Steve was awesome as well, very personable and willing to help in anyway he could. Ended up talking about vacationing with him in Door County, WI - small world stuff. While my wife and I were dealing with the final leg of the purchase with Joe, Dave moonlighted as a babysitter for our 3 year old. Honestly, I wouldn't of expected any of this service from a dealership. As facility closed for the night, we were still going through the paperwork with Joe, Dave offered to take my 3 year old out on the patio so she could view the 3rd of July fireworks. When we finished up our paperwork, an hour past closing, I walked outside to see Dave and Steve entertaining my daughter with the fireworks in the distance. So you get the idea, out of this world service. I will say that this was the best buying experience we've ever had. My wife and I couldn't stop saying how impressed we were with everything start to finish. This is how car buying should be. In the future we would make the drive again to work with this group. The whole experience was low pressure, very comfortable and left us feeling very satisfied with our Tiguan purchase. Big thanks to Dave, Steve, Eddie and Joe. 5 Stars. More
I was looking for a new car and knew I wanted a Volkswagon but wasn't sure which one I wanted or if I wanted to buy new or used. I called the dealership and spoke with Eddie . I made an apt to go in and test drive a few cars. When I arrived Eddie was there to greet me. He had a salesperson waiting for me (Kamila) who again couldn't have been nicer. Since I was undecided as to what style or if I wanted new or used, Kamila took her time and showed me all the cars I was interested in. We test drove a few cars. She never pressured me for the sale. She educated me on the different styles of cars and the difference of buying new or used. She was very patient with my indecisiveness and made sure I knew all aspects of the car buying experience. Her goal was to make sure I chose the right car for me. I chose the Passat and she showed me everything in the car and how to use it. The entire dealership was a pleasure to work with from the sales person to the finance guy. I never once felt pressured to buy my car. I got a great price and awesome financing. The whole experience was positive from start to finish. I highly recommend Volkswagon of OrlandPark if you are in the market for a new or used car. More
Came in looking to possibly get a TDI, spoke with Drew and went on a test drive. He was friendly, knowledgable, personable and was not pushy! I initially came into the dealership to have my vehicle serviced, and after working with Dan he suggested that I speak with Drew. During my brief chat with Drew we determined that I should trade in and tr serviced, and after working with Dan he suggested that I speak with Drew. After having an issue go previously unresolved, Steve, Bruce, and Joe worked with me to ensure that it was rectified to my satisfaction.
