I was looking for my third Volkswagen lease. I had s 2013 Jetta, then a 2016 Passat. I shopped two dealers in person and worked with two other VW dealerships over the phone. It seemed like I wasn't going to find a Jetta Sport lease within my budget. I took one more shot in my search for a 2023 Jetta Sport and found 3 at Volkswagen of Oakland on sale for around $21,600. I called and spoke with Diego Soto and he worked with me to get the 2023 Jetta Sport within my budget. We were able to work the purchase over the phone while I was still at work. After work I drove to VW of Oakland and my new Jetta Sport was waiting for me to finish the purchase. Diego was excellent and I am happy with my newv2023 Volkswagen Jetta Sport. Thank you for a great buying experience. Jerry Bacho More

I had to have my car towed to VW Oakland. Frank (service department) was great but I knew the car was a hopeless case. When I mentioned I better look in the showroom, he asked what car was Frank (service department) was great but I knew the car was a hopeless case. When I mentioned I better look in the showroom, he asked what car was I interested in. We got to talking and he introduced me to Athena who told me to relax as I was so stressed about my old car. She took me over to Dennis (best salesperson ever) with much patience who was ultimately sold me a car. Clarissa helped me move my belongings from my old car then showed me how to use some of the more important features in the new one and answered my questions. I was so tired so she gave me her contact information for any further assistance. Frank, Athena, Dennis, and Clarissa are exceptional people. Their kindness restored my faith in VW Oakland as I had several negative experiences with them in the past. I highly recommend them. More
Excellent service, no pressure. We test drove several vehicles over two days to find the best fit for us and our salesperson was very patient. Overall completely easy process. I had a terrible experience. Here is my review from google reviews. This rating is based on my experience with Joey Flores and Tony Rohayem. If you’re dealing with these two Here is my review from google reviews. This rating is based on my experience with Joey Flores and Tony Rohayem. If you’re dealing with these two be cautious. They appear to be friendly and helpful, but in reality I found they lack ethics and morals. It’s people like them that make you dread having to buy a car from dealerships. Here is my experience with them. I pre-ordered a VW ID.4 in April 2022. When it finally arrived in June 2023, I was excited and went to VW Oakland to pick it up. I met Joey and we began the paperwork. While doing that, Joey informed me that it was possible to get the EV tax credit upfront if I lease for month and later convert to purchase. I thought that was great since that could help me immediately. So I leased my ID.4. I went back to VW Oakland in July to convert my lease to purchase. I went with my two young children thinking it would be a fairly quick process. Joey greeted me and kept me waiting for about 40 minutes while he ran around. Finally he brought the paperwork and mentioned that VW had a promotion and I would be able to get their 100K maintenance plan for free but he would tell me more later. While going over the pile of paperwork, the math didn’t add up and I let Joey know it didn’t look right to me. He said he would talk to his manager and find out why. From where I was sitting, I cold see his manager was getting very animated and gesturing with his hand at Joey. A few minutes later they both come out and Joey introduced Tony to me as his manager. Tony start trying to explain why the numbers are right by saying that I was getting $2100 worth of service for 10 years or 100,000 miles free. He said it was a glitch he found recently and he was giving it to all his customers. He told me in VW does’t know about it he wasn’t going to tell them. He kept insisting the the $2100 I was seeing was going to eventually come off the final price. I did my best to figure out why the final price was higher than I expected but the paperwork was too confusing for me to figure out in the moment. At this point I had been there with my kids for about 2 hours and they were getting tired and irritated. I signed the documents still feeling uneasy. Once I got home, I combed through the paperwork and found that the $2100 was actually never taken off the final price. It was tacked on to my purchase bill. Moreover, Joey and Tony were intentionally getting their figures off of the lease payoff which is about $2000 more and not the purchase price. I was sick when I finally figured out what happened. It was Saturday night so I couldn’t call VW of Oakland. The next day I texted Joey and got no reply. Joey had always replied to my texts before. I figured it was Sunday he might be off. Monday I called and left a message and got no reply from Joey. I called the dealership to talk to Tony but I was he was off work until Wednesday. I kept calling the VW of Oakland until I finally got a hold of another manager by the name of Mike Murphy. Mike listened to me and told me since he wasn’t involved during my signing he couldn’t explain what happened. Mike offered to cancel the VW Care and reimburse $2100 back to me. More
