If it was not for the off chance I had met Juanpi, I would NEVER have done any business with VW of Naples! I have been searching for a car since April and was only introduced to VW of Naples through a program that helps government employees find and purchase cars on-line at a discounted rate. Due to COVID and the seriousness of social distancing at that time, I thought utilizing this government employee program was the best way to safely find a quality car at a great discounted price. Long story short; dealing with the internet manager Scott Anderson and some other unprofessional individuals, I was repeatedly told to come down to the dealership which happens to about an hour and half away from my home, to come buy specific cars that were already talked about. Needless to say, upon almost arriving at the dealership I was always met with a phone call from someone whom seemed to be a second rate amateur time share salesman at best usually not really knowing what they were doing (perhaps a new untrained salesperson is the correct term?) Of which would tell me "oh jeez we're sorry but the car you wanted has just sold! Sorry to inconvenience your time." Not offering to find another vehicle for me or possibly work "something " else out even. I never met any if these people because this would happen three more times like a bad joke. As if it was funny to all parties involved at dealership, knowing I was driving from so far away. Instead of selling a unit or making a sale, or adding to the monthly quota , or simply closing a deal especially on closeout; it was more important for these individuals to play this silly game. As an Executive Manager of Sales for almost two decades, I admit as unprofessional and dishonorable these members of management and his employees acted, I admit I started to find this amusing. In all of my years teaching, recruiting, building, and teaching sales teams: how to overcome objections, find & isolate the customer's wants needs and desires, (overcoming objections) finding common ground , relationship building and most of all teaching the fundamental importance of follow up, and the connection of the relationship has to the sale, I was flabbergasted to see the unprofessional, unorganized, unwillingness to make a sale in my entire lifetime. From April until now, approximately four months this nonsense took place. 3 other government employees who were potential customers witnessed my disheartening experience continue to deteriorate over time and they purchased vehicles elsewhere. Spending more than my measly 20k cash that I spent. They went on to purchase luxury vehicles with a combined total over $213k that did not go to the VW of Naples dealership. They were looking for personal luxury sedans. Where I was just looking to purchase a safe, reliable and affordable vehicle for one of my daughters who will is leaving for college. In the grand scheme of things I am certainly not the smartest man but I am not a fool and I understand the $200k+ lost by this band of rodeo clown cowboys is a drop in the bucket for your dealership. But a sale is a sale and a unit is a unit. Nevertheless, upon taking a drive to see other cars in Naples, I decided to stop into VW of Naples to see a car that was online but had been *sold" a few days ago. When I got there, miraculously this particular vehicle was indeed at the dealership. Why Scott and his band of sales illiterate misfits would lie about this is beyond me. Those tactics are just antiquated. Anyways this is where things change & get positive. On this particular Saturday, Juanpi was the Salesman who greeted me. Not knowing anything about my horrible treatment by his dealership, he proceeded to wow me with professionalism! He was polite, conscious of my elderly father being mask weary, & acted interested. Juanpi asked about it and wore his mask at all times around us. He treated me with respect, he knew what he was talking about in regards to his product and was not obnoxious nor unprofessional. He was quite the opposite. Even though I was very abrasive to him at first and not wanting any B.S., Juanpi figured out how to communicate with my like a gentleman. Although he could not help me that day, he left a good impression. He is the reason I went back to the dealership an hour and half away after a long day of work with no appointment, to see him and try to make a deal. Hence the $20k cash deal we made on Monday 8/23. Juanpi should be rewarded for his professionalism. His salesmanship and the way he carries himself honorably. If it weren't for him, because of the way I was treated the last 4 months by VW of Naples, I would not have stayed Saturday nor come back to purchase the $20k vehicle I did. Thank you again Juanpi. You are truly a 5 star 🌟 salesman. I hope you have a blessed month in spite of the horrible review VW of Naples continuously receives.i would certainly recommend YOU personally to all who ask about the Tiguan and my personal experience with YOU.
