My interactions with this dealership initially took place over the phone. I live in Louisiana and they are located in Alabama. We began by having numerous phone conversations following a Consumer Reports over the phone. I live in Louisiana and they are located in Alabama. We began by having numerous phone conversations following a Consumer Reports online price quote. The only name I care to remember is Ashley. She is a new car internet-sales person. She was always pleasant when she spoke to me. Unfortunately, she soon became uninvolved in my purchase. Before I agreed to buy a car, I told them that I did not want a car with more than a few miles on it. In fact, I very specifically described to Ashley, and later to her manager, everything that I was looking for. They said that my requests would not be a problem. They contacted me at a later time to say that a vehicle meeting my expectations was located. We discussed how the process would work given that the car was at another dealership. They reviewed our credit and told me what our finance rate would be. I tentatively agreed to make a purchase. I was told that some details had to be worked out and that they would call me back. During a later phone call, I discovered that the car of interest had 150+ miles on it. As I recalled to myself that they raised the price above the original quote, I became worried. The current miles on the car was not volunteered. I was concerned that there would be other such revelations after my family drove two and a half to three hours to get to them. I asked if they could email or text me a picture of the car so that I knew what I was agreeing to. When I expressed this concern, the manager was overly defensive and became hostile. He gave me a ten minute lecture which included a rant about how he sells $200,000 cars. I hesitantly decided to continue with the sale because I wanted the whole car buying experience over with. I was told when the car would be available. My wife and I made plans to make the trip. Hours before we left Louisiana, I was notified that the car had arrived at their dealership. Then when we got into town, I was told that they were not ready for us. We went to dinner and waited about ninety minutes or so before going to the dealership. After spending the next couple of hours there, waiting for the finance manager and then filling out all the paperwork, we were told that they were not able to clean up the car. At this point, I still was not made familiar with the options/workings of the car. They said that I would need to come back the next day to take care of these issues. -I'm guessing that if I were to purchase one of their $200,000 cars, I would receive better service- The finance manager rushed us through the paperwork and we were told that they were closing for the evening. Our four month old baby began to cry. He needed to be breast fed. So my wife decided to nurse him in the back seat of her car before we would head out. We were promptly invited to park on the street because they wanted to lock the dealership's barricade. My wife, myself and our three children left the dealership. We spent the night at a relatives house in Pensacola to cut our travel time. As it was, we still had an hour to the house and another hour to return to the dealer the next day. While laying in bed, I discovered unexpected values in the paperwork we had already signed. We returned to the dealer the next morning. As I waited for the finance manager, the car was taken to be cleaned. As it turned out, the finance person tried to take advantage of us. He increased the financing by percent 2 percent above the agreed rate without saying so. I had to argue with him to them to get this fixed. He said "well, you're going to pay off the loan early, aren't you?" When I agreed that we sometimes do so, he told me that since I was likely going to pay off the loan early, the difference in the rate did not matter. The difference turned out to be about $30 a month. Again, if I had the money to purchase a $200,000 car, $30 a month would indeed be insignificant. The finance person also charged me a higher tax rate than was due. When I drew his attention to this, he barked at me that they would send me a check for the difference. I should have debated this point as well but I was sickened by the amount of time and effort I had already put into the transaction. When I headed out the door to the car, I could see that the car was still dirty. I sat into the car with a sales person. The interior was dirty as well. The sales person did not know how to sync my phone to the car. He also did not understand how to operate the navigation system. After some 45 minutes of watching him struggle, I told him not to worry about it. It is now February of 2012. The dealership has yet to deliver the taxes and paperwork to the state for this purchase -which took place in mid November, 2011. I still do not have my plate and registration or brake tag. I have visited the office of motor vehicles several times. This last time, they told me that they can only wait for the dealer to do its part. Up until then, I wrongly assumed that the DMV had dropped the ball. I have left messages with the dealer over the past few days. I have yet to receive a response. More
This tops the cake of all dealerships I have ever been to. I find this wonderful Pontiac Grand Prix GTP for sale during their big sales event for $5,995 on several websites linking me to Dean McCrary. So, to. I find this wonderful Pontiac Grand Prix GTP for sale during their big sales event for $5,995 on several websites linking me to Dean McCrary. So, I call and get a nice salesman telling me oh yeah thats the price it even comes with lifetime power train warranty. So I drive FOUR hours to his dealership. I test drive the car and am ready to purchase the car. I brought $5K cash but that wasn't enough so I applied for their financing and get approved for $10K. Wow, ok thats nice the car is supposed to be $5,995. All of a sudden the price must have been wrong on all these websites because the price is $7,995. Why after getting my approval for $10K is the car almost $8K when it was supposed to be almost $6K?!?!? So, I wasted my vacation time plus my gas and having to eat out for nothing. Paul Brewer the general sales manager told me that he has no control over mistypes on their website, but one hour after I leave the websites price is changed at 8pm??? Its also funny how about six other websites linking you to the main website all have the same weird typo?!?!? Avoid this place at all costs, don't fall for their tricks, and certainly don't waste your gas driving there unless you got a price etched in stone. Not even their own website or salesman are reliable More
Jarrett Shaw was the most patient and efficient salesperson we met as we shopped from Gulfport, MS to Mobile. My husband did not even know what he wanted for sure, so we looked at many vehicles fro salesperson we met as we shopped from Gulfport, MS to Mobile. My husband did not even know what he wanted for sure, so we looked at many vehicles from SUVs down. We were able to drive any one we wanted and Jarret never let on that he was getting frustrated with us. (Since we were all over the lot, he must have, but we never saw anything but good attitude and helpfulness from him.) His professionalism sold my husband who actually bought a new car instead of the used car he had thought of buying. We were never pressured at all nor did we feel uncomfortable here. Everything was handled efficiently and took a relatively short time to complete. I realize that there were others involved but definitely look for Jarrett! He made it happen for us and we heartily recommend him to everyone looking for a car, used or new. More
I came in to have my beetle worked on and the service dept. was great. I worked with Craig and dennis and had no problems, Everything was fix and done in a timing manner. Then I when up front to look at dept. was great. I worked with Craig and dennis and had no problems, Everything was fix and done in a timing manner. Then I when up front to look at the new cars and I had been talking to Ellen Chapman and Lin Williams about there new VWs.Then I meet there boss Gray King and he was very nice.. They didn't try to pressure me like other dealerships would. At this time I couldn't afford a new car but everyone I worked with was great. You should stop by and check them out. They are also can sell Mazda cars and Suv's.. I didn't get a chance to check it out but the new building looks very nice. They also have a website, that is where I had send in a email to Ellen Chapman. More
