The Sale's Service made me Happy, the Closing not so much! I was very happy with the level of professionalism of the sales team when I decided what VW vehicle that I wanted to purchase. The team at Volkswagen of Marietta out shined many other dealerships and although not the absolute cheapest, I selected them based on customer service. I completed all necessary paperwork for my financing ahead of time , was pre-approved, and asked several times before the day of closing if everything would be ready for me when I came to pick up the vehicle. I was told it would take an hour of my time maximum, but I actually expected longer. I was encouraged to come in right away and that my vehicle was ready, but discovered quickly that the chrome exhaust tips were not in stock, requiring me to make another 3 hour drive round trip to have installed. I did not expect close to three hours of waiting. Alana Escobebo was exceptional and like clock work, had all of her things in order for me to sign. However, I waited for the financing guy Hamisi Chuma to get my papers in order. My frustration is multi-faceted and I hope my review will help other customers. After waiting several hours, where I would have had plenty of time to review warranty options, I was given a hard sales pitch at the last minute to pick an option. I was frustrated, because I could have been given the information before I came into the dealership for options that I might want to consider. I waited over 2 hours, where someone could have oriented me on the car functions or read over warranty options. The signing process for financing was clunky and unorganized. I had to remind the gentleman about making my $3,000 down payment. He had to restart his computer, because her forgot to take the payment, when I reminded him! I was late for a previous engagement and was given a five minute orientation, before I had to drive my car off the lot. Instead, a sales person told me about downloading an APP to help me get better acquainted with my new vehicle. Finally, I shared that I wasn't prepared to make any decisions on an extended warranty(because I was rushed)and would have preferred the courtesy of being given a few days to consider one. However, I was told that if I didn't select one that day, the fees would be significantly higher if I waited. Upon signing papers, I was told that since I couldn't make a decision, that I would be declining any extended warranty's. I was very excited to make this purchase, but had to wait several weeks before I could write an objective review that might be constructive to all. More
