My new car purchase experience with Kearny Mesa was seamless! I first inquired about the Atlas Cross Sport 3.6L V6 with 4Motion advertised on sale on Saturday morning. Christian called me right away a seamless! I first inquired about the Atlas Cross Sport 3.6L V6 with 4Motion advertised on sale on Saturday morning. Christian called me right away and answered my initial questions, sent me additional pictures, and provided a reply to my lease terms/price I was looking for. They were able to beat the initial terms I outlined. After obtaining credit pre-approval online, I drove from the Palm Springs area to San Diego on Sunday to test drive the vehicle. Christian had the vehicle parked up front ready for me to test drive (along with my second choice that I never even looked at!) The V6 has some giddy-up! I loved the drive! Told them to, "Wrap it up--I'll take it!" So JJ prepared the initial paperwork and I signed the contract with Mike in Finance—I was done at 3:30 pm! To top it off, since I drove my other car, Christian and JJ followed me home from San Diego to the Palm Springs area and my beautiful new Atlas Cross Sport was sitting in my garage by 6:30 pm Sunday! Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks to Christian, JJ, and Mike for making my new car buying experience a smooth one...and a fun one! More
After dropping my car off for service and asking for a price estimate on the cost to replace my alternator, the assistant on the phone said they could not do that off the top of their head but would be ab price estimate on the cost to replace my alternator, the assistant on the phone said they could not do that off the top of their head but would be able to get back to me. That was fine but come the day of my service, I still had no estimate. A few days went by and I asked for updates on my car and "the technicians are too busy", still no estimate either. After their 2-3 day window, I called at the end of day 4 to ask what the status on my car was and after they realized they messed up they got right on it. Note, I was told there would be a $177.50 non-refundable fee for the technician looking at my car, that's fine (it goes towards the service cost). I then receive a bill of an outrageous amount to replace it, which was expected from a dealer over an independent mechanic but I had no other choice unless I wanted to tow my car. I explain to the person on the phone that I wanted an estimate before any diagnostic was done and still never received one.. almost 5 days after my car was dropped off. Estimates are helpful in case I can get it towed to a cheaper mechanic and save hundreds of dollars, performing the diagnostic first robs me of the ability to do so. I had received 5 messages at this point of the dealer wanting to purchase/give me an offer on my car before I got one message (that I had to constantly persist for) about my vehicle's service status. The reason my experience wasn't a 1 was because I was given 15% off at the very end due to my prolonged experience. It was a nice gesture but I will never go back here for anything. More
We test drove a 2017 GTI that we were very ready to purchase. When we sat down to talk price with JJ, he informed us that the actual price was higher due to dealer additions. Two dealer adds for $250 each. So the price was higher than Auto Trader (“we can’t control their pricing”) and instead of reducing the $20K price, it actually went up. And JJ was not helpful, personable or friendly. I will never do business with this dealership. Very disappointing! More
Disappointed with my first 10k Service appointment. #1 Made an appointment for 3:40 PM including requesting the Dealer Recommended Service (tire rotation and alignment…..). I Got to the dealer service at 3:30 PM and right the back they told me they would not be able to complete my service. That I would need a morning appointment. I replied why the online appointment website allows you to make reservations??? Short story, they only did the oil change. #2. It took nearly 40 minutes to receive my car after completion. They pulled the car out of the service area into the parking lot and didn’t get called 30 minutes later, then paid and got the keys adding another 10 minutes. #3 A report piece of paper on top of the dashboard said “Failed Alignment” when I spotted my car parked outside after service. No one said anything to me at check out and it was not noted on the receipt about the needed wheel alignment. Very disappointing. More
We selected a car to purchase, they would not provide a contract for our Credit Union, only wanted us to use their financing or bring cash. Made it tough on us. The discussion became so difficult, purchasing a vehicle there was a waste of time. They were very polite but apparently they have their rules on which they would not budge. Our financing was 4.03% for 7 years (we have excellent credit). Their financing was higher and not acceptable to us. More
Took my car in for a service, it took 3 full days till I got my vehicle back. My wife picked it up and then later on in the day I noticed that both my driver and passenger had black stains and some of them got my vehicle back. So not only did I wait 3 days till my car was ready, they also got it dirty. I called to see what they can do and was told that I can bring it in to get cleaned but would be an all day thing, so now I will be out of a car again. Also I took it in previously for the same mechanical problem, left a review for being over charged and the General Manager replied asking me to reach out. I reached out twice and nothing, so now if anyone wants to talk about this and get a solution, you need to reach out to me the customer. More
