Shawn Baron is the BEST...! Firstly, anyone shopping for a VW that lives in long island should not go anywhere other than VW of Huntington. Nice new showroom, service was easy and on time, and my salesman, Shawn Baron who was there 3 years ago on my first car was Awesome back then and just got me into a new car literally within about 10 Minutes. Price was great, no haggling no nonsense, just the right price and honestly no discussion. I was looking to lease a new car, he gave me the price within a minute. Did not have to say "why don't you come down to talk" or "let me go talk to the manager", just plain and simple, here is the best price we can do, simple. If you are looking for a VW, go see Shawn you will be very happy that you did! More

Terrible Business Practices I appreciate the opportunity to inform you of my first and most definitely last consumer experience at VW of Huntington. I purchased a vehicle here I appreciate the opportunity to inform you of my first and most definitely last consumer experience at VW of Huntington. I purchased a vehicle here in October at a fairly discounted price along with an extra part for the car to "sweeten" up the deal. VW is scrambling to make sales because of the diesel scandal. Jose was my sales person and he was generally a good dude; nice, friendly and accommodating, as all dealers typically act to meet sales quotas. The purchase took a few hours and I went home with the car the same day. One problem however, was that the part they agreed to provide me with to "sweeten" up the deal, was to be given to me at a later time because they were currently out of stock. I made a note of this and went home anyway with a brand spanking new car. A few weeks pass and I still do not have my agreed upon part for my car. I get calls from Jose here and there with excuses along the lines of: "we ordered the wrong part and that we need to return it and get the correct one for your car," or something like "the part shipped so it should be here within a few weeks" and even "the part is on backorder and won't be available for a few weeks". I made occasional calls and even VISITS to the dealership, requesting information on my agreed upon part, to no avail. They did not even apologize for the delay in completing my deal. A MONTH AND A HALF pass and I still do not have my agreed upon part. I am patiently waiting at this point and pondering at what action to take for this run around that I was being subject to. Finally, Jose gives me a call and says "it's here" so I tell him I'll come and pick it up later tonight. And so I head over to Huntington, a 30 mile drive from my workplace, in 4 PM rush hour, to pick up my agreed upon part. Jose lets me in and then tells me: "the part was here, and now it's locked up in the parts department and I can't access that until tomorrow." At this point I am fed up and feel I should speak to someone other than Jose, so I do. I'm then guaranteed by Bob that the part will be available once again tomorrow and that I can pick it up tomorrow. Jose gives me an out-the-door "sorry" as I leave the dealership disappointed for about the fifth time. I get a call from Bob the next day saying "Jose just picked it up [the part]" which literally revealed to me that the part was never at the dealership and that Jose likely lied about it being behind the parts department. I return again the next day in rush hour, to finally and successfully pick up the part for my car, after nearly TWO MONTHS of lies and deceit. This was quite literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. In fact I would suggest this dealership provide its sales crew with lessons on customer service so that they can keep their customers instead of losing them on the first sale they make. Trust me, VW of Huntington, you won't be meeting the quotas you have in the long run if you treat customers with this level of carelessness and dishonesty, even if you are a volume dealer. They sure lost me as a returning customer with their lies and deceitful acts and I hope that you can avoid this dealership to save yourself from such an experience. More

Classic bait and switch Tried to buy a certified 2014 Passat advertised for $16795 on dealer website. We were told we couldn't purchase the car unless we either financed the Tried to buy a certified 2014 Passat advertised for $16795 on dealer website. We were told we couldn't purchase the car unless we either financed the car through the dealership or pay an additional fee of $495. No where in the advertisement was this stated. The sales manager, Shawn, agreed it wasn't written in the ad, but he didn't feel this was false advertisement. Shame on you, you could of had satisfied customers buy selling the car for the advertised price!! More

I have yet to have anyone confirm the check is physically in the mail and they dodge my calls and refuse to respond to my emails. If you have to buy from them, do so- but do not get any add ons. If you ever trade in or sell your car you will NEVER get your money back for extended warranties cancelled prior to expiration, no matter how patient and understanding you are. I'm past the point of being friendly anymore. I left a glowing review when I bought the car and I will never send another customer their way again. More
I feel like I was taken advantage of! I am so unhappy with VW of Huntington. I lease a 2012 Jetta and went with my husband to the dealer and it was such a smooth process that I went back I am so unhappy with VW of Huntington. I lease a 2012 Jetta and went with my husband to the dealer and it was such a smooth process that I went back again to upgrade to a 2015 Passat. I brought my car to the dealership and they never walked around with me to inspect my car so I assumed that they were accepting the car as is. Two months later I got a bill from VW Credit for $1100 worth of damage. I was never told by the salesman that this could happen. In addition on the day that I went to the dealership to discuss it was the day the dealership was on our local news as one of a handful of dealerships on Long Island that were being investigated for fraud. The Then I was told about tire coverage and excessive wear and tear coverage and I decided to take it for a total of an extra $40 a month. When I showed a friend who worked for a car dealership that the coverage they explained to me and had given me in a typed up sales sheet it was not the same coverage. They led me to believe I would be covered for up to $5000 of excessive wear and tear at the end of the lease which apparently is not what is in the contract I signed. I would NEVER buy, lease or own another VW not because I don't like the car but I feel I was totally abused by this dealership. More
