Not very honest. Took my VW to this dealer to check out an electrical problem that prevented me from driving the car. When I called to find out what was wrong they stated it needed a new battery. Problem was that they didn't tell me until after they had installed the new one that the old battery was still serviceable and that I could have driven my car to my regular mechanic so to get a second opinion. They charged me over $200 for a battery with a very limited warranty. I could have purchase the same quality of part for half the price with warranty that was longer with no exclusions. So because of their lack of disclosure prior to starting the work I overpaid for an inferior product. More

They knew him very well and not only he always got a great service but they were also personable, kind and the whole relationship was based on mutual trust and respect. I though, well, that's not something you these days. That was back in 2000. 15 years later, being a huge VW dub head myself I needed a place to service my car. After trying many options in OC I have no pleasure discussing here, I found VW of Garden Grove Service. Not only my cars get good service, but it's on time and there is no nonsense games other services like to play with customers. If they can fix it, they'll do it. If they can't they'll tell you. Period. Every service advisor I worked with over there exceeded my expectations. Developing a personal relationship with your service not only makes your life easier but also helps the service figure out what you did to car. Read my other review, because I also bought a car from them and I love it. I hope you find this review useful. I rely heavily on online search and online reviews myself. This dealership is not as competitive as they set out to be. I don't feel there's any honesty from this place. Last time I received a call from Amanda White, asking me if I was still in the market for a be. I don't feel there's any honesty from this place. Last time I received a call from Amanda White, asking me if I was still in the market for a VW when I had already purchased one, she promptly promised that VWOFGG will beat any competitor's price by $300 next time I'm in the market again. So this time around, I remember this offer and contacted them and got correspondence with Mr. Bob. He blatantly said that the $300 deal is no longer available. Worse he will only honor the Costco pricing (which I entered a request through costco) instead of matching or beating a competitor's quote which was ~$2000 lower. This strongly show vwofgg's inflexibilty to do business. I suppose they don't sell that many cars so their prices are flying high above average. I went to another VW dealer down the 55 and got what I wanted without any hassle and was happy with a brand new car :). All in all, if you are loaded and willing to pay the sticker prices, vwofgg is your first and foremost choice. More

Today we return to VWGG and trade in my brother Honda Accord for a new 2013 Passat. The first nice thing that we received was they were willing to pay the same price for the Accord as CarMax. Most dealer doesn't pay as high for the trade-in. 3 weeks ago, we came to this dealer to buy a 2013 Jetta and it was also the best experience that we had. These people, especially Anya, the Sales Manager, Frank, the General Manager and Bob and Sean, the 2 salesmen really went out of their way to make you happy and to earn your business. They were trying really hard to match the price that we were requesting. I heard today that they also just hired Luis, the sales manager that used to work at McKenna VW which is, to my opinion, the best VW Sales Manager that I have dealt to date, well, not counting Anya. We bought 4 VWs at McKenna with Luis but we stopped going to McKenna VW since Luis left the dealer. I recommend this dealer if you need a VW. More
