Once we arrived we were pleased with Brad who was our salesperson. Brad Arnette is very personable and customer conscious, wanting to please and meet the customers' expectations. He worked with us to help finalize the deal. Likewise, Derek took his time to assure that we understood the business aspects for purchasing. Derek also informed us of how we were entitled to cash in the unused portion of our previous service contract. We were unaware of this so the savings we can receive are appreciated. Thank you Brad and Derek for your professionalism and customer relations. I also want to suggest that you folks develop a check list for your vehicle buyers that may help them with issues like insurance transfer questions, safety features, basis guidelines for all the new technology etc. In closing, we are very satisfied customers, thank you. Misty made the mistake of responding to my question, by talking very slowly to me, as if I could not hear or had trouble comprehending. This infuriated me. So I decided to go to the dealership to speak with her about it. I dropped my car off on 8/7 @ 12:00. At 2:00 when I called for a shuttle ride, I had to ask Misty if my tire had not been replaced? She informed me that "the tire is assessed and ordered...they are expecting it by 5pm tomorrow evening. She stated that my contract did not allow for a rental during the timeframe of getting the tire. She then told me that the Passat is equipped with a small donut style.. "not sure you would find it practical in this particular situation....I can have them put it on if you like....it does limit highway driving speeds"...REALLY??? I live in Jacksonville...I then found out that my tire could not be plugged up. So upon my arrival, I asked to speak with the Service Manager...Matt spoke with me, and I suggested that he let me "borrow" a tire from one of their 2018 Passats on the lot....he did. This ordeal took over 4 hours from start me riding away with a tire from a car that hadn't been sold. So today, I dropped my car off t finally get my tired replaced. Three hours later, no call or communication from Misty or Kelly. I spoke with Andrew, who pleasant, and accommodating. He said he would speak to Misty regarding my car. Again...the worse customer service I have ever had as a consumer. More

When we came in Nick took care of every detail and made the entire process a non-issue. We were comparing two Jeeps, one at another dealership, and have no doubt we made the right choice. Would definitely buy from him again and have every confidence that if we ever have an issue with our purchase that Nick and the people at Gainesville Volkswagen would take care of us and make it right. The vehicle we purchased was for our 17 year old who also plays sports and Nick made sure to make him feel welcome too---not something you always see at dealerships with younger kids. In fact, took him out to the parking lot and showed him how to throw a "mean" football pass. Thanks Nick! More
Updated Review I’ve posted a review the day I brought my car in to be serviced. That day was exactly as I described in said review, disappointing. The next day, ther I’ve posted a review the day I brought my car in to be serviced. That day was exactly as I described in said review, disappointing. The next day, there was definitely an air of hostility although not blatant and not from all of the service department personnel. I believe there was a lo of disagreement regarding my concern. Even so, I went in and spoke with Paul, general manager, and instantly felt better about the situation because he listened to my concerns and acted. I did not expect that. I went into the VW dealership simply to be heard and “possibly” helped, yet Paul made what I thought was only slightly possible into an actual solution. He instructed that my car battery be removed and a loaner battery inserted to have a parasitic draw test done. I left came back once called and notified that my car battery was indeed at fault and that I needed spark plugs for the codes indicating a number of cyclinders had some issue. Didn’t open the hood until about two days later when I received spark plugs from autozone and replaced those. On that day I realized the under hood cover, that completely covers the battery compartment, was left exactly as I last left it. Not completely sealed so that I can easily take out and replace the battery after it has been fully charged. This leads me to believe that maybe my car battery was never even taken out as instructed by the general manager. I counted this visit as somewhat of a lost and found comfort in the fact that Paul heard me out and at least tried to make things right for me. Although I don’t blame the general manager for the way the employees handled this situation, I don’t want to own another VW if it means that I have to get it serviced at this VW dealership location. The trust is lost and it’s very unfortunate yet one live and one learns. The general manager called me directly today and offered to remain involved with my car’s progress. As I’ve said before, I really appreciate Paul for getting involved over something so simple in comparison to what else he may have to attend to as general manager. Positive outcomes: My concern was finally treated as important once I spoke with the general manager. After letting everything soak in and understanding that legally VW done everything right indicated by my signature, all I wanted the day I spoke with the GM was to be heard and he did more than that. Also, with the recommendations of VW’s service department I was able to get a refund from advance auto today for the car battery. More

Horrible Service I took my car to this dealership because it was having some problems. They kept the car for three days and said it would be ready on Saturday by 5. So I took my car to this dealership because it was having some problems. They kept the car for three days and said it would be ready on Saturday by 5. So I got there at 4:30, waited an hour and 45 minutes for them to tell us it would take an ‘hour’ longer. So I left and decided to pick the car up the next day. Went the next day to pick it up and the lights were STILL on. They serviced it AGAIN the next day, I took it home and a day later the lights turned on AGAIN. They even told us to drive the car regardless because it was something ‘simple’ but the lights that were on are not safe AT ALL. Came to pick it up for the third time and they tell us it was something totally different than what they ‘serviced’ the first time. Just a huge mess, basically was without a car for almost a week. More
