Recently purchased a used 2022 Tahoe High Country valued at over $75K. Dealership and I communicated back and forth for nearly a week regarding vehicle and condition. I was very skeptical at purchasing from dealership due the purchase being a site un-seen. Meaning I would have car delivered to Ft. Lauderdale without being able to inspect in person. Fast track to the day before delivery, pricing and everything has been finalized I communicated to the dealership (sales manager and sales rep Philip that I already had a pre-approval from my own bank and would not need to use dealership financing. At 4:30 pm in the afternoon the day before delivery they notified me that pricing would increase by roughly $3K because I was not financing through dealership(I was pre-approved for 6% rate from my own credit union). I was insured that if I give dealership opportunity that they would be able to match or beat my pre-approved rate. I was very explicit prior that I would be self financing because of encountering same issues with other deanships in the past. Unfortunately not the case they came back at 8.5% and told me that's the best they could do. At that point I walked away from deal due to increase payment amount and the lack of transparency regarding their pricing. Ironically 20 minutes later I receive a phone call from finance manager that they were able to find a rate at 6.75% (I have a 800 credit score) Fast forward another week later. I finally have time to go through vehicle and inspect with more time (car was delivered on the day leaving for vacation) Car was delivered with open recalls, non working wiper blades, no car jack, no key to remove wheel lock. The formal response from the dealership "Good afternoon! I talked with both, the General Manager and the Used car Manager. They are not going to provide any assistance with the jack or wheel lock key. " I was insured by Philip that car was pristine condition and had all stock components and parts. More

They were not honest on condition of the used car. Several items were not in working order. Engine light came on after driving less than 50 miles. Questioning if the light was previously cleared. Cruize control did not work. Door locks not all working. Disk player jammed. I realize it was a 18 year old car with no warranty and bought as is but these should have been an easy fix of under $1,000. Very disappointed in their service. More
