And if I were to consider purchasing a VW, it would be from a different dealer. I inquired to see if a specific vehicle listed online was still available. (When I got there, of course it wasn't..."It sold yesterday, but we have others similar." Yet it was still listed online). The next morning I received a call from the dealer, that I was not able to answer. Not long after, I received another. I called back and said that I would be stopping by in the afternoon to test drive the vehicle. Yet, I got another call an hour later. Before the test drive, going over the vehicle, the salesman (Who was obviously over eager), said that he had sold a TIguan not too long ago. The buyer was in an accident (t-boned a F150) and, "Cut the F150 in half and all the VW needed was minor repairs (I can't remember what he said because I stopped listening at that point). During the test drive, the salesman said that he has a Tiguan himself (with the same engine) and that he loved it. A little later in the drive, I asked him, "No xx, what kind of gas mileage do you get?" (because my Focus xx gets NOTHING close to what's advertised. lol)....and the salesman said that around town he gets about 30mpg. And that on a recent trip down to Key West, he averaged 39mpg....There is no possible way. The vehicle is advertised at 22 city/29 highway. AND THE BIGGEST ISSUE (on the test drive). There was an OBVIOUS wobble while driving the vehicle, like a wheel was out of balance or something. Not sure, but the wobble was VERY noticeable and when I brought it up during the drive, the salesman said that it was just the road. Hmmmm...mmmmmkay...well next road, still wobbling, and the next and the next. It was also audible. He claimed he couldn't feel it. (Which is funny, because when I was done, I was sitting in my car in the dealer parking lot figuring out where I was going next. And they immediately took the Tiguan out to drive. I saw them doing laps around the parking lot, doing u-turns, weaving back and forth, and then drove off). Inside the dealership: On the drive, I made it VERY clear that I didn't want to talk numbers, that I was JUST test driving today. That I wanted to test drive several vehicles, pick one, and then go over numbers. As to not waste their time, or mine. When we got back inside, he had me come back to his office, and said, "Let me get you a few different numbers for you so you have an idea." I said, not necessary that I was pressed for time. He said, he'd be right back. Of course he came back with the sales manager. I told him the exact same thing I told the salesman. And he frantically went to the sales desk. I told him he had 5 minutes and I was walking out. He managed to get me an initial OTD price (Not a terrible starting point at least). Since then, I've gotten two calls. One at 7pm Friday night and then 6pm on Sat. I'm not sure if its a VW thing in general, because the Port Charlotte VW was almost as bad with the phone calls and I eventually blocked their number. I know times are tough in the auto industry...but xxxx!!!! WAY TOO eager. I stopped by several other dealerships that day to test drive. Not one call from any of them. More
They were very good in the end, but it was a bumpy dealing....they sold the car I specifically agreed in writing to buy, that same day. But they made up for it by getting me the same one from another dealing....they sold the car I specifically agreed in writing to buy, that same day. Minimally qualified people. Move the metal is their motto. Sales guy was superb until the cheque was signed, then he lost interest. Hey JW still haven’t got the help you promise Move the metal is their motto. Sales guy was superb until the cheque was signed, then he lost interest. Hey JW still haven’t got the help you promised at delivery to find a way to get the car internet connected to the VW of America web ..a little complexity beyond your aptitude or ability to find a propeller head in the broad organization who can fix this glitch we stumbled into? Or the finance guy…he phoned a few days after we took delivery and said he screwed up the docs…needed me to return to the dealership to resign everything. GM was always available prior to closing…hasn’t been heard from since despite requests for his involvement in solving the software issue. Dog poop! More

I just purchased a vehicle here a couple days ago and although it's a great car my experience was not very good. While negotiating my deal they were trying to add in things I had already told them I didn although it's a great car my experience was not very good. While negotiating my deal they were trying to add in things I had already told them I didn't want in order to charge me more money. After the deal was done I brought the car home and noticed there was a crack in the windshield which I didn't notice because they covered it with a sticker. I went to the dealership to see if they would fix the windshield and to ask a question I had about a charge on my paperwork, and the manager Jimmy Young was very unprofessional getting upset and shaking and not wanting to discuss these issues with me. He would not fix the windshield which is such an inexpensive fix for a dealership that makes so much money and threatened to kick me out of the dealership. The way I was treated does not make me want to refer my family and friends to this dealership that tries to squeeze every dime out of you. When I first went there Jimmy said he does business differently but from what I have seen he's just another shady salesman.I will be refinancing asap. More
