Beware of VW and Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago! I bought a brand new VW GTI from Fletcher Jones, and after only 33K miles the check engine light came on, and I was informed I needed a new turbo and I bought a brand new VW GTI from Fletcher Jones, and after only 33K miles the check engine light came on, and I was informed I needed a new turbo and was given a service bill for $6,000. I had believed VW built quality cars, and stood behind that reputation, but I will never buy another VW and will never step inside another Fletcher Jones. More

He asked why there was no car wash and they said they never told them to do it. That was probably the biggest disappointment of the visit! More

He notified me regarding the technicians review and diagnosis of the problem and respectfully allowed me to make the decisions about my car going forward. A previous experience (annual inspection) when insistently pressured by a service person to accept all work recommended at an exorbitant price, without evidence of any problem, left me with the impression that service people were expected by management to push replacements and repairs. It also left the impression that rather than give evidence of the need for the work, there was an assumption that a woman would not want to see the reason for the recommended work or just be anxious enough to go ahead with it. Adam was professional, instructive, and respectful. Thanks to Adam. More
