Hello Jon Hill, I am very sorry about your experience but I did want to clarify a few items that were left out of your review to make sure there was no miscommunication. The car had the engine replaced Sept. of 2021 thru a third party extended warranty coverage. The chosen provider for the replacement engine was LKQ. I just want to clarify that when it comes to claims we can not dictate where they source the engine from. We just install the engine provided. The engine did last 3 years and I have reviewed LKQ and VW replacement engine policy which is 12 months for both providers. The car came in most recently May 15th with 100k. I did my best to find a reasonable solution as you said so in fairness I dont see how I deserved a 1 star review. The lowest possible when I pursued every avenue for a decent resolution. The engine in the car that you had in the shop on May 15th had the replaced updated intake manifold which was the part that was recalled on Tiguans so it was up to date. I would hope you could revise the review seeing as how i went to bat trying to right the situation. Unfortunately it is impossible to rectify with the extended warranty companies. Hello Scott, I wanted to reach out to see if there is anything more we can do to get this review updated. I know we are both reasonable people. So I do realize it was a stressful time in general with the special circumstances that were going on but I wanted to just make sure you were fully aware of the service to the car. Just so you dont think that we had your car for a week "just an oil change." We also had the NOX sensor and the intake manifold/cooler. The car came in on may 31st, got inspected and the inspection was sent same day. The work was approved on the 31st at 536pm and so the parts went on the order the following day to arrive the day after that. so on the 1st order to arrive on the 3rd as it was a 2 day delivery time. At this time we received the parts and started work on the car. The work took a little longer than expected so we issued a loaner on the 4th. When the car was finished on the 5th you and I spoke and I said that when the car is finished we will get settled up and i would get the car delivered. You indicated that you didnt know if you would be home since you may be traveling to another location so I said I would send my porter to meet you anywhere you needed. We would start heading to your house and if we had to reroute to let us know. I felt I was being reasonable by issuing a loaner, when it was discovered to be longer than initially thought, taking 10% off the bill and offering delivery service so you wouldnt have to come down to return the loaner and pick up your car with your current situation. I understand the stress and time constraints that you are under and did what I felt i could do to alleviate the situation as best as possible but if you have further suggestions please let me know. I just in all honestly feel that we dont deserve a 1 star review. Of course I would feel we should get a 5 for the service we offered but a 4 would be great. A 1 star doesnt seem reasonable though.
